We have a group of authors from Australia doing a fundraiser as well. I love seeing all these people working together to help. It makes my heart fill with hope.

Thankfully some fire affected areas have had an abundance of rainfall over the past few days and looks like more to come.
Although - as can happen - some areas are experiencing flash flooding, golf-ball sized hail and the rainfall is somewhat “hit & miss” for areas with some receiving no rain at all.

And dust storms in NSW Central West:

There is some relief from the fires - for now - time to count losses, determining what works still need to be done to rehabilitate those areas that were affected by the ferocious fires, continue to fight the fires still burning and… preparing yet again for more hot weather that will no doubt, come again - it is Summer after all.

Not sure if I should post this or not but I just couldn’t resist . Keep in mind that there’s a few “rude words” in this. I’ve seen these words in print here in various posts over the course of time so I’m assuming it’ll be (sorta) OK to post this short video containing same rude words. Goes without saying but please don’t watch if bad language offends .

This little snippet’s from a comedy series we had on Aussie TV some years ago (Housos) and to my mind is a slightly over exaggerated depiction of our bogan brothers and sisters. Some of my best friends are bogans and you’d be battling to find better people . Cheers.
