I’m lucky enough that I can cut it because mine’s 18mg/ml and I’m going down to 6mg. If I use the Melon Mania at 1/3rd it’s dose, I can very slowly (@anon84779643 for teaching lol) work up. It doesn’t take much sweetener at all to make it to sweet.
You could add a nicotine shot to it if you have it in the right mg/ml for you then add your VG and PG? Probably to better try that then let it sit on the shelf?
Just a suggestion. Probably a bad one but had to toss it out there.

@Caped_Conspirathist, I agree with @anon84779643 in so much that I don’t heat either. I mean, if you WANT to get scientific, VG is THICK. Flavors are NOT bonded when fresh mixed. If you heat (at least VG anyway) it can help THIN it out, which COULD lead to a faster blending. Nicotine, and flavors however, don’t respond as well to heat. Just because you warm/heat something doesn’t mean you’ll destroy it, BUT, you could be reducing it’s flavor without realizing it, or oxidizing your NIC ahead of schedule.
That is why I don’t add the nic until I finish whatever heated methodology I use.
He just mixes the recipe and leaves the nic out until after he has heated

The recipe is calculated as if it has nic in it he just doesnt put it in
@woftam, ah… I have the phone app. It works… meh… but good enough. I don’t understand how places like LNW etc get souch strong flavors. They let them sit on the shelf that long? they must be making it in 55gal barrels
I have a watermellon recipe that’s pretty good shaken and used right then. People will have to tweak it by a drop or 2 but I have it pretty close.
I always have to add some VG at the end to thicken it. I think I use 8ml of 30\70 at the end. It gets even better the next day.
It uses double wattermellon (TPA?) , Honeydew, (TPA) and 1-2% of supersweet (CAP). so those are the flavors I know of that mix well for shake and vape. Is that acceptable for this topic?
@woftam, Is there a tutorial on how to use scales? I’ve never done this by weight. I guess I have to convert weight into % but finding out what 1% of a flavor is? probably start with 1ml, weigh it, and call that 1%? That or I could use a unsulin needle and weight 10 units. That gives 0.1 ml. then use that as 1%?
In the calculator, it shows the weights for each item. Look to the right of the ml measurements, it shows in grams and percentage.
@Caped_Conspirathist I don’t know if there’s an official tutorial or not, but we’ve got your back. First things first, you’re not going to be conerting ANYTHING, so don’t even worry about that. No percentages, no ml, just plain simple, hitting the weight. When I first started, I was mixing by volume, and there I was, just like you, worrying about numbers and lines wearing off of my syringes, push/pulling into/out of my syringes, the mess, the time, ehhhhh, it took forever. ENTER mixing by WEIGHT !!!
Single handedly the BEST thing that improved my ENTIRE mixing experience. Hands down, no question, without exception. It made my mixing THAT much easier, faster, more accurate, cleaner, and the list goes on.
First things first you want to go into your “Preferences” under the MIXING SIDE of the site (not here on the forums). Once you are in your Preferences, you need to is make sure the radio button for “Use Grams” is ticked, then SAVE that.
Then as @Wombatred26 showed you above, when you are mixing a recipe, the ONLY thing you need to pay attention to is the GRAMS column. You will be adding your VG/PG/NIC/Flavors to hit THAT number.
NOW, there is a MANDATORY step in this process that you will HAVE to do, over and over, and that is TARE your scale. Taring just resets the scale to 0.00 regardless of what is on the scale at the time. Here’s how it goes, and get ready, because this is EASY McPeasy.
Now we move onto ALL of your flavors, ONE at a time, and you TARE your scale before each new flavor.
That’s about it @Caped_Conspirathist. I think after a few passes, you’ll be all good to go. It made my mixing 10X faster, easier, cleaner, as I wasn’t chasing pipettes or syringes around the whole time, cleaning them to prevent cross contamination, worrying about what was in what syringe, whatta PITA.
Now there IS one thing that IS very important when using scales, and that is CALIBRATING your scale. Sounds NOT fun right ?? EASY PEASY.
It will differ slightly from scale to scale, but I’ll tell you how I do it on my LB501 scale. I received two CAL weights with my scale, and it’s got a CAL button. EVERY time I move my scale, or even a few times a week, I run a quick CAL on it. On MY scale, I tap the CAL button, then I press and hold it until it starts blinking 200g, I add a 200g weight, wait for a few seconds, till the display changes to 400g, I add the 2nd 200g weight, and weight, and then it’s done. Takes about 20 seconds, super easy.
I have mine set to drops… however, I know what my drops weight, and when its at drops, the ml shows up on the left hand side… as long as you remember that ml = gm then it is the same thing… my weights match up when I have my drops set correctly at 50 drops per ml…

I think I am a zealot when it comes to mixing by weight (as opposed to volume/syringes/pipettes) like you are towards Flavorah. NEVER a bad thing to be SOLD on something, and are so happy with it, motivated by it, that you can’t help but share it.
I know that when I first started with weight, it seemed confusing, but it really only took a short while before I KNEW it was for me. Tossed ALL my syringes (except for the NIC syringes), and never looked back.
Now where the hell is he ?? Any other time, he’d have made 15 posts already.

@anon84779643, @SessionDrummer, I have no problems using scales. I did a lot with them in school. We had to calibrate every time before using it though. I’ll probably calibrate before starting anything. The trick is, you have to have something you know delivers a precise measurement of fluid into the bottle. I wanted the 30 gauge blunt needle bottles because 30 gauge is an incredibly fine needle.
It probably delivers 1/100th a ml. Depending on how much 1ml weighs of the specific fluid, I can then calculate what 1/100th ml is by weight.
the “trick” i know works, is using the bottle tips FLV comes in.
Each and every single drop weights .02g and that is good enough for the site here.
There is not a calculator that goes 100.0000% as then I could get by with using my big girl scale, Ohaus as it does go .0001g.
Even the scale system here is limited by being set to .02g, as anything beyond the .02g ie .0175g is rounded up to .02g. It is why the aws501 is used more by everyday mixers.
For me I keep it all simple. I have not felt a urge to use any type needles and syringes for mixing ejuice. Less fuss muss and clean up. Always pros in my book
