Buttermilk Flavor

Sending out a call to help here. What would you use to create a buttermilk flavoring?

Trying to make Gorgonzola Dolce http://www.cheesemaking.com/GorgDolce.html for an idea I have in vape.

I know I can use Fresh Cream (FA) for the whole milk taste then FA Yogurt for the well yogurt. Stuck on the buttermilk aspect. In cooking I know you can use milk and lemon juice? Anyone tried that in a vape?

Carmalized Pears With Gorgonzola Cheese

1% Brown Sugar Extra (TPA)
1.5% Butter Cream (CAP)
2% caramel pear (HC)
2% Cookie (FA)
2% Cream Fresh (FA)
1% Ethyl Maltol (10% PG) Diluted 2% (TPA)
1% Lemon (FE)
1% Walnut (FA)
3% Yogurt (FA)

Flavor total: 14.5%

Maybe try FA Sour Wizard instead of the lemon?

For a buttermilk, you may want to consider Butter Cream by Flavor West or Capella.

anything you can mix with malic and citric acid…FW Sweet tart, LA Tart and Sour…grapefruit and lemon…like that…

i honestly hate grapefruit vapes … and not big on sour so not sure what I have that would do that. There’s my stash LOL http://e-liquid-recipes.com/publicstash/27039 I have Orange (FA) Fuji?

Before Flavourart revamped their Yogurt, I tried compiling one…it wasn’t bad…but it helps to know what chemicals youre working with to get those elusive notes…
if you want gorgonzola, youre looking at butyric acid…and something to amp it up…probably malic or citric acid…otherwise, it’ll get lost in the sweeter flavors-

I’ve been looking up molecular gastronomy for hours now… I do listen :slight_smile: sadly all I discovered that store bought butter milk is not really buttermilk either …cultured lowfat milk, nonfat dry milk, modified food starch, salt, mon and diglycerides (emulsifiers), carrageenan, carob bean gum, Vitamin A palmitate, vitamin D3

I actually have the caps buttercream and will give that a whirl too. Thank Glory!
