Hello friends.
So I recently placed a significant order with 2fdeal. $165. I placed the order on 9/9 and it shipped 9/13. A stratum balance2 dna 60 clone, a monarchy old school dl dama tank and extender (best vape I’ve ever had btw). Everything was going normal with tracking until yesterday 9/24. I get a notification that it’s cleared customs, handed to local carrier (usps) and is in Chicago regional distribution center. That’s great. I’m really looking forward to this package. I’m super excited. Well pump the breaks. Almost immediately I get another usps notification that’s states this:
USPS has not received a postage payment for your item. As of September 24, 2025 at 12:07 pm, it is being held awaiting payment and cannot be processed. If the postage is received, the package will be delivered to the recipient; otherwise the package will be considered Postal Service property under USPS regulations and will not be delivered.
So I figure I’ll just call and pay it myself. I’m able to get a human on the phone fairly quick at usps. They said there is nothing I can do, the payment can come from the seller only and to contact them. So I email the two contacts at 2fdeal and one of them gets back to me last night.
She says this:
Hi, Friend,
Thanks for contact us.
We have already paid the tax and the shipment fee when arrange shipment.
The shipping service info the above tracking delays are attributable to recent anomalies within the USPS system, compounded by weekend processing backlogs. USPS has received feedback and is urgently addressing the matter, with resolution anticipated within this week. Tracking updates will gradually resume.
Please rest assured that we are closely monitoring this situation. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused by these delays. Thank you for your understanding and support.
Now keep in mind that there’s lots of people on Reddit right now with this same notice on their packages. Most coming from china but some within the states. Some of these people got their package without the tracking ever updating. But a lot of the people never see theirs. Apparently the usps has been cracking down on counterfeit and reused shipping labels. I’m not saying that’s the case here. But if it’s not an error and postage is due, then what? I’m just screwed? I did use a credit card so I guess I can do a chargeback if worst comes to worse. I’m gonna give it a few days but I figured I would warn everyone that’s thinking of ordering anything right now. Every other time I’ve had an excellent experience with 2fdeal. Has any one of you experienced anything similar? Is it really just a glitch at the usps? Will 2fdeal honor the purchase and make it right if it is an error on their part? It’s really stressful and I don’t know what else to do. If the situation changes I will absolutely give an update. This is not an attack on the merchant, yet. Maybe it is a simple “glitch”. If it is I will come back and sing praises for 2fdeal to the masses. I will attach screenshots but am not super familiar with making posts so forgive me if it doesn’t work. Thanks for reading my novel. And I appreciate any feedback.
TLDR: ordered gear from 2fdeal, usps says postage wasn’t paid and won’t deliver till it is. Only seller can pay. 2fdeal says it’s a mistake and to wait.
I ordered some stuff from Ali express that just hit the airport in the USA. After I placed the order I read somwhere that the US is really cracking down on parcels coming in from China…whatever that means. The cost from Ali-express was only $6 with free shipping. But if USPS trys to charge me a fee for the package…they can keep it. I’ll just chalk it up as a lesson learned.
2fdeal will make sure your package arives and if for some reason it doesn’t, 2f will either refund or resend and claim back from whichever carrier screws up.
Use the 2f tracking linked to your purchase in your account ( in my country links to 17track ) and keep an eye on it.
Dont panic or fret just be patient and give 2f time to sort it out.
This happened to me ordering from FT several years ago… and it literally meant nothing- I don’t know why, I didn’t question it. See if it shows up. Sometime they scan the wrong package or it’s missing info on the label. I’m not saying this is the case, but it’s best case scenario. It happened with a $600 order from FT and was so incredibly bummed out, but it showed up a week later. Sorry this happened, but hopefully you’re looking at an mis-scan or incomplete/incorrect label processing.
Had something similar happen, but the counterfeit postage was caught by my local post office. Luckily, I was able to pay for the postage and retireve my packages. They told me that they’re being flooded with counterfeit postage.
Yes, they seized millions of dollars worth of disposable vapes. I’m not exactly sure what their plan is. I read about some people getting an import tax bill with their packages from customs. Right now, I’m just gonna sit back and wait to see how all this pans out, and see what happens with my tiny order from Ali-express. I only ordered some ceramic tweezers, a coil cutting guage and a coil jig. $6 worth.
I would be fine paying a tariff if it meant I get my stuff. Even tho it was supposed to be tariff included. I just seen someone on Reddit who had the same problem and it updated to counterfeit postage. Probably be easy to win the chargeback if that’s what it comes to.
Just an update on everything. I contacted 2Fdeal and they admitted a problem with packages sent in a certain timeframe. They offered to refund or re send with an extra gift. They have already provided me with a tracking number for the new package. In spite of everything, they have done right by me, and I will continue to shop with them in the future.
I also got my Aliexpress package without any issues. I’d still be wary about large ticket items getting tangled up in customs but small stuff seems to fly right through.
Seems to be hit or miss. 90% of the stuff I order internationally zips through with no issue. Now and then something gets stuck for a couple days before it gets through and I get it with customs tape all over it from them opening it up.
The only thing that never made it through for me was an order from Sourcemore, and they gave me a full refund after 30 days.
I think it really just comes down to the shipping company/broker crossing their Ts and dotting their Is correctly. They seem to do alright given the current state of things.
