What does your kiddo want to do? Take pictures or videos? Does he want to work into learning the technical aspects (shutter speed, appurture, etc)?

I havnt used the Kodak camera and would recommend checking some YouTube reviews of course
B&h photo (reputable site) also has a cannon power shot Elon 360…at $353.17 that would be comparable in some ways.
KEH has a used cannon eos r100 for 385…Nikon cool pic 213…and awhole bunch more. I also trust KEH as well.
My biggest recommendation is to pick out acouple camars and check the YouTube reviews.
