Just tap someone’s avatar to get the popup, and tap the MESSAGE button.

You can also get there with the side menu, but that’s a slower and more a pain in the arse

You beat me to it but I’ll post my pictogram anyway.

Bring up a message and then click on the red glasses.

Now poke the mouse.
