How can i make cake batter not taste so dang brown? Ive been trying to figure out Smurf Cake from VapeWild for some time but now i just want to know how to get rid of that overwhelming after taste. Same thing happens with FW yellow cake and numerous custards. Any help is greatly appreciated.
What are you mixing it at? I mixed at 4% single flavor and got undercooked generic boxed white cake with some vanilla. I’d use as an accent at best 2% for a creaminess. It’s not the best cake batter. Had definite plastic notes used higher- FW cake batter dip or ultimate cake batter are way better for actual cake batter flavors. Both have cake notes and frosting. Taste is subjective and these notes are just my take on them.
My go to cakes are usually FW yellow or white or birthday cake . Simply cake by Purilum or one of WF cakes. Also ultimate cake batter. Ooo sponge cake, Nomz sponge cake and ssa homemade spong cake are also good flavors. Capella doesn’t do bakeries that well imo.
Here’s the OG Vape Wild Smurf Cake you’ll notice they used all cap including Cake batter and Yellow cake which means this recipe probably needs 3 months or more of steeping to get rid of the off notes.
Like Lynda said I’d try either FW Cake Batter Dip or JF Ultimate Cake Batter with JF Yellow Cake or Ultimate Yellow Cake. The other flavors should be ok as CAP cake batter and yellow cake are the worst two offenders.
Holy shit, 6% Cake Batter !!! That’s got to be jet fuel before it settles.
some people really like the smell of jet fuel ![]()
LOL I know right! I mixed that recipe only once. It was good, definitely over flavored. I felt it really settled after 3 months but was still very heavy cake flavor with a little blueberry and light frosting.
Well to be fair, that’s naked, and unsteeped. I’ve not used it much, and can’t even tell what it “softens” into, but Outta Da Bottle, it sure smells like a chemical jet fuel to me.
Well OK then. I might mix it up 1/2 power just to see, as I’m still not a believer in anything CAP Jet Fuel, errrr Cake Batter.
Yum! I’m going to mix this subbing cake batter, cake and possibly bb jam. Is this the original or a clone?
It’s the original as far as I know. I couldn’t imagine a DIYer using 6% Cap Cake Batter willingly. I questioned it when I mixed it years ago, and it came off as a 2013 type very over flavored cake mix. I always got a musty off note from BB Jam but after 3 months steep the BB faded enough that I didn’t pick it up.
If I was to remix it I’d probably go with 3% FLV Blueberry Muffin with 1.5 JF Ult. Cake batter to help pull the muffin into a cake flavor. A custard to fill out the cake. Then add a butter cream or a frosting as a topping.
I think I used it once and put it away. Wasn’t impressed.
I just went a whole different direction with Ultimate cake batter. Just mixed a 50
I hope it’s good ![]()
It’s funny, I was just wondering this today. I saw that I bought a cake batter from Delosi. I haven’t even used it 'cause I don’t know how to. Without that. I don’t know, I think brown is pretty accurate Way of describing. The afterTaste.
I I remember seeing this
ever ending. Search for last straw Vapewild. thw S2+C2 (Strawberries and cream squared.)
I remember making that one and it was like dead on for the one from vape wild. Maybe that will help.
btw I believe this was under the TPA. Category. I used F W stuff.
Thank yall. I tried the og “real” recipe back when i could still buy smurf cake. Compared it side by side and its night and day (to me)like very different even after a big steep. Its missing the right butter and theres no cinnamon or spice. Im almost positive its got FLV blueberry muffin, cap cake batter, some type of cream thats not taking away the texture of cake batter but makes it a lot less brown tasting. I was thinking Tfa pie crust might be there or maybe even nonna’s cake to get that spice/cinnamon taste. I dont taste cap nycc or blueberry jam unless that spice is coming from the nycc and the cream is toning it down. Ive also been trying to figure out their s+c² which was my absolute favorite, i tried the internet recipe on that one too. Thank yall so much for all of your input.
