Well, the writing has been on the wall, but it looks like Fasttech has officially pulled the plug.

So sad, but lets remember the good times, ya?

Oh yeah! Fasttech was my main go to, during the stocking up feeding frenzy…lol. It was fun!

I’ll be vaping on Fasttech stuff until I kick the bucket. Also, their customer service was top notch, in my book. Rarely a problem, but if there was, they were on top of it.

Same. They always responded by next business days when I needed to hear from them. The only negative was the shipping times, but that was the majority of oversees purchases.
I’m still baffled as to why the Chinese have put these regs in place, since they never gave two shakes of a rats ass before.

I had thought they would have moved to other electronics.

I hit this Vaping hobby just at the right time. I was able to buy a lot of gear on the cheap.
Feel bad for the new folks just now getting into it.
I have so much new shit in boxes it isn’t funny.
Around a dozen Steamcrave tanks I never opened yet along with tons of other stuff

Roger that @Pastorfuzz. I know some people scoffed at, or at least didn’t fully understand the need, or desire for stocking up. Maybe NOW, that will be a little clearer.

Just wondering why Fasttech didn’t go the bonded warehouse route like a few of the other China sellers. Also wondering how long the others will last using that workaround.

Probably because Fasttech was the middle man on most vape sales. They sold for many smaller sellers. They didn’t have the inhouse inventory to warehouse. Bonded seems to be working still taking 7 days to get thru Chinese custom’s and from shipped to airport another 5 days.

Is this topic still going on?

Chinese exports skip most internal regs: Why China is one of the biggest exporters of Cannabinoids.

Local regional enforcement depends on party ruling over national policy as a rule.

And, rules only tend to be enforced when a point needs to be made.

That’s very interesting. I have been wondering why the date has come and gone, yet I ordered from Steam Crave while Fasttech has closed it’s doors. Fasttech sold more than just vape stuff. Maybe they just closed the e-commerce site we have grown to love and the continue in another form?

As for vape gear, isn’t the majority of production in Shenzhen? If what @SquirrelSmash posts is true maybe much of the vape goods will continue to be available till someone decides to shut down Shenzhen vape works. The sheer size of it might act in favor of that scenario being less likely to happen.

The new laws in China did create a central reporting system that all vape transactions are supposed to be routed. The same centralized system is supposed to facilitate and monitor production and sales authorization/permitting. That kind of government oversight could be used for enforcement or just an effective means of keeping the industry in line. Step out of line they can exert control with laws on the books to make such an action more acceptable to the citizens as a whole as opposed to being seen as outright oppression. All the while appearing to align with the wishes of many foreign countries they trade with.

That seems a similar tactic the US uses only the US creates vague laws that allow wiggle room in the court of law. Laws that help create a dominating corporate sector which they maintain a firm grasp on their balls. The dominant sector prevents competition, eliminating any power/control shifts from occuring. Now the government can financially and/or politically extort the dominant corporation for decades.

I’m guessing China will eventually start to operate much the same over time.
