Once you get this technique down its just as simple to wrap things like framed Staple Coils, Multicore framed coils, fused claptons, claptons.
Anything that needs an over wrap can be done this way.
It takes a little while to learn exactly how and where to hold the spool, how much tension to apply to the spool and how much speed to have your drill set at.
But once you find your way you can fly through fusing in seconds.
gotta question about the billow:
when i get to the bottom 1-2mls of juice on my billow, it all just leaks outā¦not when i fill it and vape on it, just when it gets lowā¦ever heard of that?
Actually I have experienced it. The Aspire Viva Nova does this. What is happening is you are losing pressure in the tank once your level hits the fill holes in the coil. Once your level is at the fill holes it will drop your juice. The only solution I know of is to keep the tank filled above the fill holes in the coil. If this is a RBA then maybe more cotton could help. Watch it real close and see if it starts leaking at fill hole level. I would be interested in knowing if this is happening since I have only seen this once before with Viva Nova Tanksā¦
I canāt say Iāve ever experienced it with mine.
I can run mine almost dry.
Maybe try a bit more cotton in the juice channel lip.
I think @ringling is onto the pressure dropping and itās probably bubbling back up the juice channel as the air pressure pushes itself out the Airflow.
it must be the wicking method I have a billow v1 and had this happen a couple timesā¦ you need to almost build a wall so juice doesnāt get to the air holes and Iāve never had it happen againā¦ just my method?? ?
The TC function on the M80 is horseshit, itās not actually TC. Itās an algorithm that mimics temperature control by fluctuating the wattage.
It kind of works but I would never rely on it using Ti or Ni200.
You can still get burnt hits but it does cool the vape when using Kanthal or Nichrome in temp mode.
I didnāt actually buy the M80 for TC.
I bought it for the 80w, the ability to run down to .1ohm, the mech mode that bypasses the chip to fire a build based on ohms law and the 4000mah battery life.
If youāre looking for a TC mod DO NOT BUY THE M80.
Ok, gotchaā¦I too bought it for the huge battery and the 80wā¦itās my ācarry pieceāā¦
I have plenty of other TC mods, I just dont usually carry themā¦guess thatās gonna change, seeing how Iām gonna try the dual rebuild on that TFV4ā¦
And Iāll rewick that billow and see whatās up. ā¦
And of course: good lookin out
i just put this build in my atty cube:
24gNm80 fused clapton wrapped in 34gNm80 5 wrap 2.5mm
dual coil .08ohmsā¦absolutely amazingā¦warm, luscious, flavor heavenā¦
yes sirā¦i actually did a bunch of themā¦i went and bought an electric drill and i use that primarily to wrapā¦i do single and double cores, various gauges and various gauges in the wrapā¦some of the finer gauges can be a little tricky, but it only takes a few seconds to wrapā¦
i made a bunch of them, now iām just gonna try them all and figure out where my preferences are and take lots of notesā¦
i really really enjoy doing it!
i have SS, Kanthal and Nichrome ranging from 22g all the way up to 42gā¦so if you have any recommendations, spill em, iām listeningā¦
Then over the weekend Iām going to try my hand at MultiCore Framed Claptons.
30x42gNm80 lightly twisted, framed with 26gNm80 and wrapped in 44gNm80.
Basically the same build on āPrestine Buildsā
Parallel wrapping some different spec creations is a good way to go.
Iām especially liking the 5 wrap fused 24/38 above paralleled with 8 wraps of 25gSS single coil was .15ohms. Dual should ohm in around 0.08.
One of my favourite builds though is
32gNm80 or 32gKa1 (the Kanthal is easier to fuse) fused with 38g then wrapped in parallel with 29gNm80 on a 2.4mm 6/5 wrap for the billow v2.
Works great on a mech or reg mod too.
You could also try your hand at an Alien Wire build (eye sight dependant) where you Clapton some 26g in 32g then stretch it out.
Then you reverse wrap that around 3x26g in parallel.
My new glasses are supposed to be ready today, thatās when I can try my hand at builds that require more than just pressing the drill buttonā¦
I have in mind the staple coils and the framed staple coilsā¦
Yeah, Iāve done the parallels and I know you keep bringing it up, and I do like the staged heating quite a bit, but Iām just really curious what these things do by themselvesā¦plus, Iām waiting on a shipment of RDAās with big post holesā¦when I get more researching and learning under my belt and narrow the builds down to the ones I like the best, thatās when I will start putting together builds for maximum efficiency. ā¦if you remember, my first few pix I ever shared were of some parallelsā¦and you guys are definitely right, that IS the way to go for best flavor, without a doubtā¦
I am completely fascinates with all of this, so keep em coming! Thanks again, brother!
