@Whiterose0818 was so kind to send me some swivels. Thanks a lot brother. So I decided to try making some clapton wire for the first time.
Fused 24/32 kanthal @0.1ohm in my mutation x v4
… One of the coils came out a little sloppy on the last wrap but hey… Practice makes perfect 
Glad I got a 180w mod as these beasts first come to life well over 100w. Going to get me some Nichrome80 after Christmas as the ramp up time is crazy with kanthal.

I popped them in and fired them up to make sure they were even when ramping up. Straight away wow lovely 0.19 ohms

Glad you like them @Dave_ward 0.19ohms I wasn’t too far away telling you they should be around .15ohms.
I’m getting better at determining ohms from intricate builds woohoo.
Yeah aliens are pretty awesome to vape.
It’s just a shame I ran out of 26gNm80 and had to use Ka1 instead as the flavour is better again with the Nichrome.
Maybe after my next wire order I’ll send out some more lol.
They’re a very similar flavour profile to fused claptons they just look so damn pretty.

Going to put those one’s into my mutation x v4 as soon as i can mate, prob tomorrow. Loving the ng80 fused clapton’s. They put some flavour out and clouds a plenty , really pleased with them mate and thank you again. If i can ever do anything for you J just lets know mate.

It’s no problem really.
The Nm80 fused claptons are my go to build for any new RDA or tank (space dependant) to see how they perform.

My last set of them lasted almost 3 weeks.
So unless you get bored they should see you over Xmas too.
Dry burn, water rinse, recheck for even firing and rewick whenever they look gunked up.

Pattie I don’t know if you read a post where I had said I was doing a review for Steam Crave for the same glass RDA you have here. Well I received the thing and day 1 it was broken. I don’t know if I did it or it came that way, but you could only see the crack when it is seated on the base.I was very careful with it and not to put any sideways pressure on it so who knows. I emailed them and they said they will be discontinuing this RDA for this very reason. So if you like it I would suggest picking up a spare glass or 3. Not sure if and when those will become unavailable, but one day I think you won’t be able to find them.
BTW they are sending me their Hex RBA for review. Hopefully it will be here next week and I can get it done by the weekend.
I can remember you were doing the review for the steamcrave, but thats a bummer about the glass hence no review. 
The one I recieve was a thicker version glass, a “revised glass” ,it says. My glass is about 1.8-2mm, was yours thinner?
When I bought it there was another 2 versions, a round and a hexagonal i think both metal.
If they are discontinued I’ll have to pick up a spare or two because its an awsom rda. With the vortex thing going on it definitely boosts flavour
Especially since i got my new coils in from @jondamon
I intend to make these coils last as long as i can bud. 
But definitely would like to see what you think of the hexagonal rda. When you try it have the same juice in a tank of your choice and taste the difference.

My glass was thick as well. The problem is I believe when they install this at time of mfg they force it on the base over dry o-rings. Rather than slide and compress the o-rings the glass grips it and pushes it against the lip of the channel it sits in creating pressure and cracking it. I’m really shocked they didn’t include a spare because they should have, and if they were to continue selling them I think they either need to lube the o-rings with vg first or leave the glass uninstalled.
Ok, seeing how I won’t do an official review of this RDA, let’s let this paragraph be my unofficial review. First, I was somewhat underwhelmed with the RBA as a whole. I agree about the vortex insert, it does boost flavor a little. What I found it was it caused a fairly substantial reduction to airflow. That was what killed the vortex for me. But this would not be an issue for everyone (yourself obviously) but I think there would be more people like me who would prefer the airflow that the plain sleeve provides. But you really need one or the other. I tried not using one at all and while it did provide slightly better airflow, it suffered a major flavor loss and oddly enough, heat buildup. I wouldn’t buy this RDA as there are many more out there which outperform in all areas. just one man’s opinion.
So anyway, Maggie at Steam Crave had responded to my complaint about the glass breakage and sent me the smooth round SS top. Funny though, it wouldn’t fit. The base is smaller on the glass than the other. So she’s sending me a complete Hex RDA which the other topper will also fit. So I’ll be able to do a 2 in 1 review of sorts. Don’t know if I’m getting the velocity style deck for it but I’m told that’s coming. Whatever the case I will definitely do a side-by-side with a tank

Will be glad to see the review. I was in two minds at the time as to weather i should buy the hex but the twin post design wasn’t there at that time, at least on the ones i saw. Mabey revised.
As for the air flow i perfer the vortex because its a bit tighter draw, so I understand about the smooth sided piece mabey being better for more air flow for those of us with huge lung capacity. Unfortunately the stinkies have done a bit of dammage over the years so lungs are restricted somewhat.
