The IPV5 is a great mod. I’ve had several different IPVs and I can say, from my experience, that Pioneer4you makes good mods.

What I know so far, limited in knowledge for sure on devices…my ipvd2 still kicks butt…I just doesn’t handel dual Clapton coils. Sure p4u has had cosmetic issues from time to time, but Atleast I trust the yihi boards now over a board that’s not named.
Some day I’ll get a dna mod…but I think at that point I’ll build my own box and just buy the pieces. I’m sure in the next six months (well it’s out there now) enough vendors/suppliers/forums will be fully up and running for people to do it.

Definitely cleaner and much more flavor than the kanthal. But I’m sure you knew that lol. I like to run VW so the ss is a welcome change.

Glad you liked it. Some people don’t care of SS but I think it’s a pretty clean vape.

For sure. Plus it’s the only step up I can go to from kanthal that is safe/correct to use on VW from my understanding as far as the different available materials are concerned.

Try Ni80. I like it but some say it’s a bit of a metallic taste. Not as clean as SS but better than Kanthal IMO.
If you want to step up mod wise, I just got the Hohm Wrecker G2 from Vaporcube.com and I gotta say that it blows my Cuboid and Rx200 out of the water. It ain’t all that pretty, in fact some say it looks like it went nine innings with the ugly stick, but it hits real nice and you can kinda do TC with Kanthal (though I haven’t quite figured it out yet).

Hahaaaaaaaa brilliant! Honestly, I don’t believe I will be getting into TC, at least not for a while. Too much tweaking for me. So I am going to stick with the SS for now.

That’s my vaping sweet spot, .25Ω. Hard to get there using SS in a dual coil mode with a high surface area. I like a high surface area looking for max flavor output. Still hunting that beast.
I twisted up some 26g/32g kanthal clapton wire yesterday. 3mm ID, 4.5 wraps, .4Ω with a surface area of ~2500mm2. Looked like a beast in dual coil but the ramp up time was unbearable to me.
Doing it in SS would have come in at .23Ω , perfect but I was having trouble wrapping up my clapton wire.

I am using the clapton jig from vape3d, which is a great device, but it wasn’t cooperating with me. I think the large spool of 36g SS from Kidney puncher is too heavy for the jig to move as the wire gets wrapped. Also, I need to get some swivels and a piece of wood to attach them too so that I can “anchor” the end. I think that will help.

ahhhh gotcha. That would make sense if the spool is heavy and binds the movement. I do my claptons by hand and my thumb and side of my index finger looks like I put my hand in a blender lol.

Yeah, wrapping my own claptons is still in the early phase. I have a lot a practice to do. Plus I need to get setup correctly and find a place to work on it. The wife says NO to clamping anything to our nice dining table.

lmao I don’t blame her. I learned all the wrapping stuff from watching Squidoode and OhmBoyOc vids. took me a bunch of tries but it is def all feel at this point. I’m sure you know what I mean.
