I am very new to this and have recently quit smoking so here I am and I decided that making my own was the way to go so I got all I needed to make a start read lots on safety and how to do’s etc found an easy calculated, my other half also is new to this and so we set about making our first lot of own blends which as I thought went really well he went on to the calculator and I wrote down all the amounts from it and what % of flavours etc … then last night I was looking over a couple of recipes I have done wanting to make 30ml and the numbers did not add up …With the first lot of recipes he had failed to change the pg to vg on the nicotine how bad is this and should I scrap all previous liquids and start again?
Don’t worry about it, just click on the blue wrench at the top of the recipe page, click edit and change the nicotine from PG to VG
Thanks but does it affect the liquids already made up I went back over all the recipes I wrote last nite and changed the figures there but that does not help the already made ones and the first coconut fudge I made with the wrong amounts I used already :0 (
You just have slightly more VG in your juice than it says on the recipe. No harm done.
Yes, it will effect the juice but if it is harmful depends on the equipment you are using and just how much nicotine was added. Basically you are going to have a ratio higher in VG than you expected. If you are using Subohm tanks or dripping then High VG is preferable anyway but if your using non subohm equipment and your VG/PG ratio is above 70/30 then there’s a good chance of dry hits since the juice may be too thick to flow freely into the coil. It really depends on your ending ratio and equipment…
@ringling is correct, I didn’t think about that, just woke up
I use 100 mg nicotine and do not vape more than .2 or .3 strength so the amount of nicotine in my juices is insignificant to make a real difference in the amount of PG/VG. Some equipment will indeed not like too thick a juice.
Omg having a bad day just deleted the post by mistake when just trying to edit it lol ok I use 72mg nicotine of which the strength I use in liquids is .6mg and I have a kangertech nano technical stuff still learning happy to make mistakes and learn from them just don’t want to harm anyone along the way a lot of the blends I have made so far have been like 40/60 pg/vg if this helps
You should be fine with that ratio in your nano.
The only real harm is going to come from the nicotine. Say you thought you were using 24mg nic but you were actually using 100mg—that would be really bad. PG, VG, flavor, other than what has already been said about wicking issues, won’t cause any serious problems.
