Corona virus in Indonesia from official sources 2 hours ago: 309 positive cases, 25 death, 15 recovered. Of course they didnt tell us how many tests they have performed.
https://www.covid19.go.id was the official source.
2 days ago (17th of march) : 172 positive cases, 5 death, 9 recovered.
These came from people who said that corona virus would never hit Indonesia as of 2 weeks ago.
I haven’t seen stats stating as % of population either, in Aus or elsewhere.
Perhaps if they did that it would help ease some of the panic buying?
May (select your deity or spiritual guide of preference) bless our truckers and truckers world-wide!
To discourage people from buying out the shelves, coupons or any other kind of reductions cannot be applied anymore. Full price for everything for everyone.
Again, people are dumb! They’re doing it to themselves, unnecessarily, at a time where lots of people are on temporary benefits or getting laid off. We’re surrounded by complete morons.
I’m listening to politicians and expert guests use dumb downed verbiage, good, bad, very fast, bla, bla, bla and thinking you sound like idiots. Then I think about as you highlighting, maybe that is the the intelligence level of the audience? SMH.
I just read there could be 10k people infected in Miami…
https://www.miamiherald.com/news/coronavirus/article241205731.html
Italy has now surpassed China
You can find the whole list here
The question is, is that because more people actually have it, or because their hospitals are over-saturated and people can’t get the treatment they should get? Italy’s supposed to have excellent health care but capacity is a bitch right now.
I was looking at their death rate this morning and it seems a heck of a lot higher than in other countries. Where most countries are around a 1% death rate, Italy’s is a lot closer to 10%.
At the same time, it seems that Asian countries are bracing themselves for the 2nd wave.
This thing is long from over
In Italy there are waaaaay more infected than there are positive tests. From my previous post you can calculate the approximate number of infected (20 days go) based on deaths …
Assuming a mortality rate of 3.5% the number of infected in Italy 20 days ago would be around 71,000 - if we set the mortality rate to 0,9% (the WHO estimate) the number of infected would be around 278,000
I hear that the USA will have it even worse…
and the question is, are they testing every single person, because if not… those # are not right at all.
Video footage from Italian hospitals have been circulated on the news … they don’t even have enough beds. I’ve seen people being put in wheelchairs in intensive care because of a lack of beds. It’s probably a range of different factors at play.
Oh … intensive care… let me rephrase that, hallways in regular hospital sections where people get intensive care treatment. They’re in real trouble down there
Yes, it’s horrible. Lots of people have died in their homes as well - and sometimes the survivors in the family are stuck with the bodies for days before someone removes them …
I think their hospitals are over-saturated because more people have it
and this is only round 1… the next one is just now starting up in China.
Well, the positive out of that is that they’ve had it wrong before and that gov’t doesn’t have the best reputation when it comes to facts and truth… I’m currently not really looking for government’s predictions west of me.
I just saw on the news that the mortuaries are also overrun and the military are taking away the dead.
