The idiocy of “Faux and Friends” is Donny Danger’s early morning ritual “briefing” of “tweet-material”. During the ads, he pops over to CNN and MSNBC, looking for “deride-able tid-bits” on morning shows.
They’re good at reporting what you want to hear… as long as it’s in fashion… they change like… the wind.

What we’re learning from Iceland this week is as fascinating as it is crucial to fighting the coronavirus epidemic: That somewhere in the neighborhood of half of everyone testing positive for the coronavirus will show absolutely no symptoms.
“Early results from deCode Genetics indicate that a low proportion of the general population has contracted the virus and that about half of those who tested positive are non-symptomatic ,” said [Iceland’s chief epidemiologist Thorolfur] Guðnason. “The other half displays very moderate cold-like symptoms.”

The vast majority of research studies are purposely conducted - and defined by - (some) criteria to use “healthy” subjects (which is the intended case in the above described study). Various internal organ disease-states cause complicated changes in the expression of DNA in cells. The paradox that seems to surround this quest for genetic information is that it is precisely the “non-healthy” population who has highest risk and evident loss to SARS-CoV-2 pathogens - which may likely limit the utility of the reported results to only those least at risk and affected. Something to keep in mind if/when forming expectations.

Florida and Texas have now set up checkpoints to monitor those driving into their states, from Louisiana and elsewhere. So has NJ… Not sure how many other states…

Ok I talked to some Zoomers and I have to relay the latest lingo for COVID-19. [cough] this is verified, I mean I’m not starting this …they’re calling it “The Rona” …used in a sentence “I think I had The Rona?” Oh and I’m not recommending we adopt a new Topic Title nor ongoing usage of “The Rona”. Just an FYI …ya know like next time you’re in the store and you hear some 20-something speak the words “The Rona” maybe just tighten up that mask and verify your SD. Also we can take solace in the knowledge that in 17 years (and 9 months) these folks will be dealing with their own little “Rona Babies”

Saw this… MD now has a curfew…
We just received, via text, a “public health emergency announcement” from Gov. Larry Hogan indicating we’re now on curfew for the state of MD, no one out of their house after 8pm for “non-essential” reasons. The lockdown is here.

This is in one of the bigger Danish hospitals, Aarhus University Hospital.
