Ok so COVID-19 is pretty bad but right now it is manageable (ish) outside Wuhan it is having a big effect on the stock markets around the world causing Australia and (the world I guess) to head towards a recession.
Well, our government and the media have the answer to that - encourage people to stockpile food and essential items to increase spending. I never thought our government would encourage doomsday prepping yet here we are.

Aside from all that I came across a snippet from a Dutch program on YT where it was said that all the news that would normally make the frontpage is not reported on at all.
Netanyahu announced another 3500 more houses build on Palestinian ground, totally illegal but no headlines.
Turkey has opened its borders to Europe, apparently within 24 hours more than 18000 crossed the border, no news.
So the question we should really ask ourselves is what is going on in our own countries right now that is not being reported.

That number is slightly off because quite a number of citizens who left Wuhan for the Chinese new year have not been able to return yet.
There seems to be a volunteer group going around Wuhan rescuing pets stuck in homes and facing starvation.
Even with that I should think you’re not far off the mark. 
On second thought, what I don’t understand is when citizens are not allowed back in because the city is in lockdown, how the hell do the volunteers get in?

i think they said its only about 48 hours can it live on surfaces so it should be ok unless your using a courier perhaps?

I had one seller say the shipping companies wouldnt even come to collect parcels unless the workers were all decked out in hazmats suits.
So yeah expect delays with shipments.

I read some reports about a volunteer group that had been contacted by pet owners through FB who were desperate about their pets.
It was said they were roaming the city.
What was I thinking? It might just have been a made-up story, like most of em.
