** Our models show that it would take at least 2 months of Wuhan-style Lockdown to achieve full containment. However, it is unclear at this time how you could manage newly introduced infections.
I’m not sure the economy can withstand that. And of course, as with them all, they are their models, not certain fact.
Everyone’s been saying Zinc doesn’t work well with the common cold (not complaining. I’ve tried it myself and it’s slow). I could be wrong about the Coronavirus so I’m willing to try this at when I get a cold.
From what I’ve read, the two items above help the cells accept zinc
Azithromycin 500mg once a day for 5 days (Need a for prescription for this. Leaving it in for respiratory infections )
Zinc sulfate 220mg once a day for 5 days
I found the body uses this the best above all other zinc vitamins
The common cold is a virus too. I swear to you that my oldest son and I have had good luck shortening the time we have colds. If This helps with either (if they don’t five me the Quinine/Z-pack prescription I’ll try this too).
No one dies of a cold. I saw this and it made me curious. I wondered if I could make how you feel when you get a cold a lot less nasty. I have until June to be stuck in my house. Finding life being placed on hold as “social distancing” runs it’s course AND waiting for all my mixes to steep, I have to find something to do (the only part of this I created that could make you sick is zinc).
Upon the realization what magnitude the mental anguish I await; Insane thoughts began to emerge as contemplation’s still not complete. Visions, visions of a Chinese bat. A creature of my discontent, my imprisonment enrage me each morning’s light. Frustrations stir with…
DO NOT MOVE THIS POST!!! THIS IS PART OF THE CORONAVIRUS THREAD!!!
GOING BATSH^T CRAZY (OMFG IF I SEE ANOTHER BAT AGAIN)!!!
Doug… if you keep to your house and use your protections when you to go out…
(mask and gloves, proper hand washing and use your sanitizer) you will be just fine…
yes… I have been stuck in my apartment for the better 1/2 of a month alone… I’m going to be even more mentally unbalanced after this is over. I SAID MORE OK??? I’M NOT DENYING BEING MENTALLY UNBALANCED PEOPLE!
Sorry @anon84779643 I had to add that last part… It’s not directed at you. Unless you think I’m denying being mentally unbalanced???
At this point we all will probably get it eventually. That’s the thinking in Denmark etc. The protections are for the flattening of the curve It might be different in the US though… I’ll just stick to my regular vitamin A, C, D and E plus zinc
Im doing the vitamins… in fact, heading out today to meet up with my meat man… Highlight of the week lol… but he is someone I trust… and we have stayed in contact for a while now. Plus his meats are fantastic!! At the lake… it’s a place eh… 10 acres large, I share with my family. There is a cabin… but I prefer to pop up a tent… sometimes it is good to get away and just enjoy nature… <3
I adapted it for a cold. You can’t die from a cold. The Z-pack is for those who complain about upper respiratory infections. You have to have a prescription for it. Only recommendation I have for that is to go see your Dr.
Well… as science fiction has shown us… and a huge amount of science fiction has come to pass in our lifetime… For a fictional example, the canon explanation in The Walking Dead is that everyone is infected with a dormant/passive version of the virus.
But seriously, this scenario is no science fiction tale…
Viruses have two life cycles:
Lytic Cycle
In the lytic cycle, the virus focuses on reproduction. It invades a cell, inserts its DNA and creates thousands of copies of itself, bursts through the cell membrane, killing the cell, and each new viral strand invades new cells replicating the process.
Lysogenic Cycle
In the lysogenic cycle, viruses remain dormant within its host cells. The virus may remain dormant for years. Herpes and chickenpox are good examples. (Chicken pox can cause shingles in later life when the dormant virus reactivates.)
So, yeah… we’re all possibly going to have this virus introduced into our system, somehow. We all need to get used to the idea. This ugly little pathogenic, parasitic organism is here to stay.
