Coronavirus

My next prediction for our future… a CV+ mark on our IDs (Drivers License?) that shows we tested positive in one of these antibody tests. It will become important for employment etc. It’s an ongoing debate on whether folks will have any future immunity, but I predict it will carry some weight as we go back to work/business.

Why though, I wonder? We don’t have flags for Chicken Pox or any of the other maladies we’re beset with. Why this one?

That story is far from conclusive if you read it though.

If you think about it Phil… Colds…

We all catch them. Over and over again… Once the covid 19 has enough mutations, and just by a few from my work suggest… it may merge with the common cold and weaken even more. No, no article or news fact for this, just common lay talk. In the meantime, protect yourself.

Not quiet yet… but I will be mia soon… headed to the lake for a while.
I haven’t taken my son on an extended camping trip in a long time, and frankly I need a good break.

DarcBo, let us all refrain from gratuitously “piling-on” where it comes to such (personal) “in-firmities”.

Hi Phil.
I’ve still go around 30 more messages to read so sorry if this has been covered off.
In the UK there are many poor news coverage outlets and the worst are what we call the red tops.
The Mirror, Star, Dail, Star, Sun, and although not a red top by far the most sensationalist of them all is the Daily Mail.
Any slight bit of gossip from a friends brothers nephews frog will be spun into a click bait article designed to sell papers.
While I’ve not read the article itself and it might have some or partial truths in it i would never trust the news in one of those as mentioned above.

I feel for you guys and gals over there and forgive me if there are indeed any Trump supporters that read this but as described above our news outlets can be rubbish depending where you look and I’m always hearing and reading how this type of if you can call it such journalism is rife in the US and when your President is just as bad (Insert an apology here) i really feel for you.

We’ve been lead to believe that once this virus has run its course around 80% will have contracted it.
Will it morph again into something less harmful? I hope so but in the same vein it could go the other way.
Of the 80% that contract it a very small proportion of people will die.
It was originally estimated that figure would be between 1 and 3.4%.
When you look at the numbers and start multiplying the maths it’s indeed concerning.
In the UK we are seeing a mortality rate of arou d 50% of those that develope symptoms bad enough to need ventilation.
My heart goes out to the underdeveloped countries that will lose 100% of those that require ventilation simply because they don’t have any.

Going back to Trump we are aware of his nature ever since the whole Scottish Golf Course debacle therefore cringed and couldn’t believe he actually got taken serious and was elected.

Any way I’ll leave you with this which by all accounts suggests you’re all in good hands.

Unfortunately the news media, which once upon a time was a trusted, reliable, and unbiased source of real news was bastardized long ago in the name of profit and viewership. And more lately what we’re asked to consume as readers is less ‘news’ than opinion. Bias to whatever allegiance seems to have superseded truth in journalism and that is a shame.

That is more a testament to the depth of mistrust and disdain the American people felt and still feel about the government. I’m not going to get into a debate about this at all, but he won because he was not a long time politician. Americans wanted change and he promoted it.

I appreciate your comments and stand beside you with the lack of faith I hold with the media and the governments.
