We briefly discussed this in another thread, and now it appears, it MAY be starting to happen. Regardless of how, or why the COVID-19 outbreak happened in China, many countries are starting to re-assess having much/all of their MFG in China.

If American companies leave China they better move back HOME!!!
But they won’t when there are cheaper places to go. All of Southeast Asia would work. Thailand already has most of the infrastructure while Vietnam could ramp up quickly. Then there’s Africa waiting for their turn.
Ya, I know… I was just HOPING and being a smart ass too.
Well, on the hope side… there will be a need for a lot of employment here, so maybe we will get a couple factories back on the home turf.
