So I have been having an issue with almost all of my crown tanks. They seem to be leaking juice around the adjustable airflow ring, above it and below it to be exact.
The strange thing about this is, there is no where this juice can be coming from?? The airflow chamber itself is bone dry and the tank itself is secure. It is literally around the top and the bottom of the band you twist to change the airflow?!
No where in the construction of this tank, is it possible to leak in this area? Yes I have all my O-rings and I have never had this issue in the year or so I have had my tanks and it isn’t just one tank or 2 tanks, it is 4 tanks! All doing the same shit?
I am at a complete loss for a fix on this one because there isn’t anything to fix?? It is getting super annoying though, when I feel it all over my mod and my hands, then I have to do the tidiest project of cleaning the damn band (normally resulting in me just taking the base off and washing the entire thing)
I am at work, so I can’t post a picture of the area I am speaking of, so I hope everyone understands where I mean
Me and my girlfriend have both had the crown and never had that issue, the only thing I can think of is that you got juice under there a while ago and it’s just now coming out.
I’m with @Whiterose0818. Mine kind of seeps around the ring but it’s not actually drippy leaking. My aromamizer is the same way. It doesn’t ever drip or anything but around the air holes is always wet. I just wipe it off when I fill up and move along. Is it actually dripping?
Nope. I have had my 6 crowns for about a year now and I have never had this issue. I am a FREAK when it comes to keeping them clean too.
It isn’t condensation either but even if it was, it still doesn’t explain how it ends up where it does. It is a bead of juice that goes around the top and the bottom of the collar. If left unchecked it will start to drip down onto the mod.
It has me baffled because there is absolutely no way that it would end up there, even if my tank wasn’t screwed down tight.
I will have to take a picture the next time, so you guys can see what I mean…
No clue. Try new O-rings? Maybe they’ve just gotten too compressed or something. I know what you’re talking about, it’s pretty much the same with mine. Only mine has always kinda done it. Not as bad as it sounds like yours is though. If you breathe out at all (and sometimes even if you don’t) before you pull it all the way away from your face, vapor gets caught in the bottom part. That’d be my guess as to where the condensation would be coming from. Then it just gathers around the AFC and squeezes out when you twist the ring around to fill the tank. All that being said, I’m a comp sci major and not an engineering major for a reason…the physics of these things are beyond me. LoL.
All 3 of mine do the same thing, and I haven’t a clue of where it comes from. Sorry That’s of no help!
On second thought I just took a vape and this one is not doing it. So it dawned on me that it may be because you have a older coil in it, I just cleaned mine last nite and put in a new coil.
It’s just so very odd…
Thankfully it doesn’t happen all the time and it just randomly gets bad. I’m just sitting here scratching my head because where the f*** is the juice coming from?!
If the airflow chamber had juice in it, then it would make sense! It is the equivalent of water coming out of your stove when you run your dishwasher…it makes no sense!!
It’s happened on new and old tanks, coils and O-rings a like…water seeping out of a stone
It happens to mine too. I was thinking it was just me.
My guess is…well the air has to get in some way so it is possible for the reverse to happens. But the reverse between condensation and ect there is a bit of collection.
I had this happen alittle on my aspire Atlantis v2 tank as well.
I don’t like that it happens and occasionally more happens then other times. Thankfully I rotate between my three tanks so if it is starting to get bad it’s usually by the time I am ready for a tank/flavor change.
CAW! Salutations from across the Realms! I have had a similar experience with my Crown tank esp. using the RBA head. I read, somewhere, and have been paying attention to trying to do this to correct it: When you reach the bottom of your tank take it apart. Remove the coil or RBA head and examine beneath it where it threads into the base. If there is e-liquid built up there rinse, clean, and dry it well. Replace your RBA head or coil, refill, and vape. It seems to have corrected this issue for me. I just try to remember to check whenever I am refilling my tank. I hope this helps. & CAW!
