Are you referring to Custard Premium (FA) ?
I agree it is excellent & can be used with Vanilla, Shortbread, Cookie. Or any other flavor you would like to develop.

I wouldn’t use it as a single custard flavor in a simple custard mix; i would rather pick TPA VC II or Custard INW or VC1 in that case (but it works great as a dancing partner with Custard INW in such mix); also i wouldn’t use it over 2.5%. Bakeries are where Premium really shines and is irreplaceable. But now i’m curious about that Extra1.

I don’t have it but the reviews on the recipe side suggest it is lighter and to try with fruits.

Yep, I quite like this flavour and use it regularly. It is more eggy than FA Custard Premium but not as much as INW Custard or CAP VCV1. Works well for me with heavyish creams, other custards and cheesecakes (TPA, LA, FA etc), Add a bit of INW Biscuit or CAP Sugar Cookie for depth. I actually like it with some FA Nonna’s Cake and WF SC Flapper Pie which gives a really nice (for me) custard cake type flavour.

I never know what to do with flapperpie either…

It’s like a meringue I think with graham, not really sure if that’s correct but I’ve used it with lemons

Flapper Pie is a custard based pie, usually with a graham cracker base and meringue topping (or cream).

Interesting that you guys don’t know what it is since it seems to have originated in Canada… :man_shrugging:

I usually use it in conjunction with FA custard premium. It’d go I well with fruits, just about any bakery, custard, pudding. It reminds me of Creme Anglaise.

Just joined the circle, got my Custard extra and Flavorah Custard. Unfortunately, I have a terrible cold / flu or whatever, so the experimenting is off at the moment.

2-3% with 1-1.5% custard premium
