Custard premium solo test and recipe

I have a ? This custard premium fa i mixed it up in a solo at 3% figured in a recipe at 2.5% and with all the other additives it would mute this. At 1.75% it was the same thing, i get this weird backend taste like flowery stinging nettles type flavor. Anyone else get this backend taste. On first inhale its custard to this backend taste that becomes over powering. Im going to knock it down to 1% and see if it will eventually phase out

No, no backend for me but I don’t see it as a custard. I have had it up to 5/6 % and only get a heavy cream…

It 100% is a more cream oriented no doubt. Again how we all taste things differently. Its crazy me and my partner taste the same thing on this one. She usually wont taste the same faults as i do. As the same as i dont taste what she is talking about. I added cream fresh fa and shisha vanilla to the 100ml i had left of what i mixed and it toned that backend down a little but its still present.

Maybe a bad batch? Have had no issues with mine at all but have had other flavours that had weird tastes.

Gonna mix up another batch at 1% cp fa and add more wf vanilla custard and some cap custard to see what it does and see if i get the same result. Im gonna have to order it again and find out if it was just off. Have to wait and see

Most likely the vendors master jug sat too long and it separated. Never reshook the 20-25 liter jug before rebottling.

Im going to shoot a message after their break and ask about it. Just weird i get a heavy cream custard more cream then custard but its nice to the this awful backend taste. So i been trying to mask it. Or it could be something just strikes me more. Swapped the main note to wf vc. I mixed this tonight and tested it.

And sure as can be the after taste wasnt there. But who knows in 2-3 weeks if it comes back

14 flavors? Honestly don’t know how to trace the off flavor back. Could be anywhere.

No it was off on the solo test at 3% thats why i went low in the first mix then cut it by .75% on the second mix now i cut it to1%

I only added cream fresh in shisha vanilla to this one as when added to the already mixed up it did tone that CP off note down. And the fact that this mixed up before with all the same aditives never got the off note till the CP. the same off note in the solo test.

I remember getting a pretty sharp, funky, chemical like note off an old (4 years) bottle of Shisha Vanilla I had. I threw it out and got a new one and didn’t have any more issues. That’s why I suggested bad batch, but also what @rcleven said about separation makes sense.

He makes a lot of sense. It was from a batch they got in may. They may have not shaken it when bottled. Even of a knuckle the concentrate has that off note of citrus plant like taste. No clue need to buy it from somewhere else and find out if its just me

Emailed them and they are gonna send me 10ml bottle of it to see if its just a off bottle. I told them i have a boxing day order they are gonna throw it in that. Going to see if that concentrate is just a no go for me or its just a bad bottle i got. They say they shake everything before they bottle it. For all i know that day the person didnt but i will soon find out

I brought in 60ml of Premium a few years back because of all the hype. But honestly I wasn’t all that impressed. To me VC II (TPA) is better. Just sayin…
