Dark colour in flavour bottle

Hello all

Just received cookie premium by flavour art today

It is in date until 31/12/26 but noticed the colour of the flavouring is very dark compared to the rest of my flavours…

Would you use it or throw it out

Don’t be put off by the colour or the Best Before date as flavour concentrates don’t often go bad, they just lose some of their potency. I have flavours that I bought in 2017 and they are still perfectly fine, so long as you store them in a cool dark place they can last for years. As @warkwarth said, the change in colour is normal, it’s just due to oxidation and also the batch and the storage conditions play a part in it.

You’re smart to ask @stickynigel, never a bad idea. I have racks and tubs of flavors well past their supposed Best By Dates, and their fine. Some have darkened, but all are close to brand new taste wise. Let your nose, and tastebuds tell you all you need to know.
