i realize yelling caps are frowned upon in forum culture for fear of flaming&c. but if i may be excused just the once @Gus6… ehem…: THANK YOU!
Flv sweetness wont gunk your coil as fast as other sweetener, and you dont have to use much of it. 0.5% is very sweet for me.
FA black tea have that bitterness I like but if you use it too much it will get floral quickly.
FA peppermint is good for what it is.
FA cardamom have real cardamom but it is very strong. Used it at 0.2% in my recipe and it was enough.
All these coming from someone whose taste buds are still recovering from smoking too many ciggarettes, so you might want to lessen the percentages I put here.
thanks! i rarely come across a fellow cardomom fan.
haven’t tried FA Mild Winter vs just Peppermint? Also read some good notes on the Atmos Lab Peppermint___ confused
oh and TPA vs TFA Smooth? peopleypole
I’m sorry. I dont have smooth so couldn’t comment on that. Also I dont have any atmos lab flavours.
Mild winter is FA peppermint.
no problems_
there’s two diff FA peppermints apparently…
Ok, seems i can consolidate one order from chefs… found cardamom by VTA in their stock__ stop me please if it’s not recommended. here’s the list
FA Mild Winter
FLV Black Tea
FA Black Tea
FTV Cardamom
FA Fuji Apple
FA Grape White
FA Marshmallow
TFA Blueberry WIld
TFA Smooth
FLV Sweetness
oh dear_ what green tea shall i add???
Well if interest is not lost here’s the updated list as such
- Flavours i’m sure i want, producer is the issue:
FA Mild Winter (peppermint) [purpose: not candy/chewing gum: to use with Tea/Cardamom and Kiwi/Apple]
INW Mint Mix - [ditto]
FLV Black Tea 30ml [real black tea but avoid harshness of INW. FLV reviews: sweet - maybe i won’t need smoothening/mellowing]
FA Black Tea 10ml [real black ditto. No mention of sweetness in reviews]
FTV Cardamom [positive reviews, but unclear if as good as FA, might have to get from diff shop eventually]
FA Fuji Apple [pos. rev.s but idk if this apple is the apple to go with kiwi/mint]
FA Grape White [pos. rev.s maybe for a cactus/ginger mix?]
FA Marshmallow [just for smoothing/mellowing. if flavour is strong change]
TFA Blueberry Wild [best reviews]
INW Cactus 30ml [best reviews for general purposes]
TFA Smooth [if tea is rough]
FLV Sweetness [if tea is rough]
- Flavours not sure i want, less researched product:
VTA Ginger Root [with Cactus and maybe to accentuat any cardamom?]
VTA Eucalyptus Robusta [?with Cactus/ginger/mint]
FA Kiwi [pos. rev.s. for Apple and maybe grape/cactus/mint mix]
FLV Green Tea [2nd best selling at Chefs.
-Curiousity, doubt i’ll get:
VTA Mastiha [coffee?]
VTA Arabica Coffee [usu. don’t like coffees. ?to mix with Mastiha and Cardamom?]
FLV black, green and eisia teas are what you might want to play with…
I can’t make you buy a thing… but I love the flv fruits and creams too.
In fact I don’t know many that do not enjoy them either…
Thanks.
Play with as in change or as in they’ll be nice to experiment with?
You mean all my fruits are better FLV? because I did compare the notes from the flavour list_ don’t remember exactly why I chose each of these over the others, but i generally crossed out anything with mention of sweetener notes, candy-like tastes, etc.
I thought i wasn’t supposed to favour one brand for everything and rather seek out the best maker of each flavour as per @anon28032772, i did so mainly via reading notes and sometimes a thread when i could find one.
Use what ever you want…
You will have so many telling you to buy everything… however I believe if you limit yourself and learn how one flavor company is… the better your chance for learning how to mix with your chosen flavor manufacture and then work on others…
I prefer flv as it is an ultra company. less is more and less is not as expensive as the cheapest flavor company… My lowest flavored juice mix comes to a total of .67% and that is 3 flavors and those 3 will be an in your face strawberry cream…
However again… use what you want… not what others tell you… your best tool is the one you have in your mouth
Learn and play with your flavors till you know they well…
thanks. sound advice.
at a fellow forum, i was reminded of the layering thing and that i should’ve been selecting by recipe.
now leaning toward giving the whole thing up and sticking to oneshots. i do have 3 ADV’s and it would save me the extra research and work i’d have to put in. spent 5 days on this already, can’t do more.
This layering thing… is why I tell everyone… work your solos… learn your flavors.
Take lots of notes.
I can start to taste this flavor at X amount…
I can taste this flavor at X amount…
This flavor would go with: ________ and will not go with: _______…
Yes, you need to think of how much you really want to get into mixing and how far to take it.
I have spent many years (11+) now… just in mixing…
only thing i’m worried abt is if the oneshots i’m using contain any of the flavours on Warning List…
Warning list?
If you’re going to worry about warning lists, I don’t because they are of such small quantity and are diluted more in a mix, PG would be at the top of the list. It is also diluted to a small percentage of a mix that I can’t remember of a study of a vaper getting popcorn lung. Remember vaping is 95% safer than smoking. It is not harmless.
@anon84779643 from articles abroad and here. got the idea to look for it from the list in the resources.
@rcleven thanks for input but surely you’re not saying i shouldn’t try to mitigate the harm?
since you tickled it, i should say i don’t think the percentage slogan thing should really mean much to vapers after full transition; just an overly reductive summation of a bundle of issues, good for news and politicians. we can use it to swat the flies away, short their microphones or the like, not much else. as a smoker all i needed to realize was most of the cancerous additives are out and you’re inhaling vapour not smoke.
now i realize i can control even the components of the vapour, best take it, i thought.
I’m not telling you what to do or what not, it’s DIY and you make up your mind what you prefer to do. I was just saying that most people don’t stick to a single brand but you’ll find people that do. It’s all personal preference.
thanks. no worries_ ‘supposed to’ was meant in the ‘my collection of advice’, yours one among several, though the only one here. apologies for reference, meant for elucidation.
