Ask your friend has he visited the site where his juice was made. Does he know the exact ingredients of his juice as you know exactly what you are putting in to yours. Keep the DIY going.

Your friend isn’t really well informed at all. DIY isn’t more risky then it is to buy juice in a store.
As long as you take precaution and make sure to have proper flavors, good VG and PG, good nicotine, clean bottles, syringes and whatever you use when you mix there isn’t really any health issues.
I guess your friend think it is better to buy juice for $15-30 every day instead of mixing yourself.
Let him do that and continue mixing and have good cheap juice to vape.

Also you could perhaps ask him if he has a commercial kitchen to make his dinner or does he like everyone else in the world cook in his own kitchen.

It’s all been said.
May favorite way to look at it is choices. When you buy a bottle at the store the only choice you have is if it tastes good. There isn’t any way of telling what went in. With diy you have all the choices at your fingertips. You can pick your level of nic. You can choose to mix with a flavor that has fructose. You can choose to avoid certain chemicals.
It’s all about choice for me. That and I can’t see how I could afford to not diy at the current market prices.
