dna200 wismec jaybo

Grats on this, btw! I’m jealous you got the bats too. Nice feel to the build quality and smaller than you thought it would be, isn’t it?

Man I’m loving this thing! I have been working my ass off at work and haven’t had time to even set it up yet so I’ve been using it in wattage mode. Even simple outage mode this thing feels better than any mod that I have! You would think 65 Watts would be 65 Watts on any mod but for some reason its better on this thing haha!
I opened the escribe software at work and I’m not going to lie…I was a bit overwhelmed! It was like opening a Greek dictionary. I just need to find the time to sit down and do my homework on the mod and the software. So far I love this thing and yes it is nice and small

I found this to be a good crash course for dummies type tutorial.

Congrats! Great device. Soo many things to fiddle with in the software! Great form factor too! Check out pbusardo’s series on YouTube. Oh and take notes tons of info covered! Have fun

Just got mine today! WHOOHOOOO! ahem…
This is simply an amazing device. Function, options, user presets, user customization options, form factor, and I expect battery life (for us normal mere mortal vapers). I am very impressed. I know all the other DNA 200 devices offer identical function, but LiPo had me steering clear of them. I much prefer the idea of 18650 batteries. No longevity and reliability will tell different tales; as will battery life. Not to mention this thing feels amazing in the hand and looks cool as FSCK! I used the “Wire Wizard” on Steam Engine and created a build for 3 wire twisted of 26ga Ti 1A for a dual coil build around a 3mm bit with 9 wraps on a Velocity clone. .09 ohms! I think that even qualifies as a “deep water” build coined by our own illustrious Pro_Vapes. Saved it as a .csv file, loaded it up in eScribe and uploaded it. EASY! And OH MY! Vapor and FLAVOR that even manages to penetrate my head cold.

. . .once you go DNA200 baby! I am still waiting on my Reuleaux, but my Efusion is pretty rad. I love how small it is and the LiPo can get through several tanks easily.

I was like @DarthVapor, instantly had to turn all my “65W” tanks down to 30W.

Note this: Lost Vape has put out a custom .ecig file for the Efusion that sets the battery discharge etc for you. I haven’t checked if Wisemec has done that, but I assume not. It also, as I noticed, reduces the pulse at startup to 150W. I dont think anyone is in trouble at 0.09ohms (I didn’t blow at 0.058), but you should all go into the software and make sure it isn’t pulsing 200W on startup as that seems to have killed (well, blown a surface mount fuse) for a few folks.

Glad you like your toys. . . you bastards

Agreed. Big high density builds can probably take that kind of hit, but smaller ga single wire…200w may snap some wires from shock heating them that fast. Worst case is it causes an open in the coil, a short is unlikely. But still, why rebuild if you don’t have to. Also, from what I understand, it isn’t necessarily hitting it with the full 200w, but rather will hit it until half of selected temperature is achieved.

Wismec does have updates available and I’d recommend applying them before you customize too much as it will erase your customizations. The battery profile they provide is the one for the Sony VCT4s though so you’ll still want to find good info for the poop browns. The DNA200 early adopters forums has some good info on it. I’ll send you a link if I find the thread. I’d start with this one though. At least till you get a headache from it. :smirk:

Did the update out of the box. Found a battery profile in the evolve forum for the brownies. Yea, I have been scouring those forums since I ordered this thing Friday night. Saving from eScribe is only a few clicks and you can restore settings from there. I also created a “factory default” setting as a back up just in case. Ya never know. The one midway down the page is the one I used. http://evolvapor.forumchitchat.com/post/discharge-profiles-for-wismec-reuleaux-7791361?trail=45

No man, I’m saying it kills the mod!

Good thing I set them all down between 120 and 150w then. Even the .09 dual coil 3 wire twisted build is at 150w. Odd they would have a factory setting that would kill the device. Maybe it won’t until its out of warranty. If this is so, they really need to quit pulling stunts like that. It does their reputation more harm than good and makes them look like they put out junk.

When I got my Efusion I thought I did the same thing. However, you can make 10 profiles for 10 different Ti, SS or Ni200 builds and create the CSV’s for them. They will all be identical because it simply sets the Temperature Coefficient of Resistance for the material, not build specific. ProVapes brought this to my attention. I had made and imported several profiles for my various tanks with different builds in them…waste of time.

Just wait till you get the Reuleaux. You’ll be stunned at the battery life compared to the LiPo pack in the Efusion which, from what I’ve read, has one of the better packs installed. Don’t get me wrong, I love my Efusion. But the Reuleaux is second to none. I have the HE2s installed and never take them out. I can get pretty much 2 days out of them and will let them charge while I sleep with the on board charger. Don’t have to worry with rotating them either as it uses balanced charging.

I haven’t read this but I believe you. This has been an exceptionally busy time at work since I got my Reuleaux so I haven’t done anything except use it. But I agree about that preheat setting. Not because of the fuse issue but because 200 watts is too much for everything I run on it. I didn’t buy my LG 1080P Smart tv so I could watch Bonanza reruns, and I didn’t get the DNA200s so I could run wattage mode.

Guilty as charged

Lets keep it civil, that’s Bastid’ with an obvious Bostonian inflection for effect.

LMAO. How much backspacing did you have to do to make that look like a quote from me? Tee hee

I bought mine from nw it came with 3 yellow LG HE 4 2500 mah…and I love it!! The Escribe software is pretty complicated to me but after watch PBuardos vids its a little more understandable…Im not a computer geek…lol my kids are!!

HAHA I just quoted you quoting him. hehehe

Anyone who hasn’t got a wismec dna200 mod yet. Will fall in love with it when they do. And the battery life, i go 2 days of all day use before i have to charge them. And i finally got it put on a pc. And my prefire setting was at 150. Not 200. I don’t know. Anyway. Its all set for my ss and ti. And it works amazing.

Awesome dude. I mean the DNA200 is the frigging b@%!! and the d+%$ with any battery…but three 18650s is just bad ass.

With the mod plugged in the PC you can do…something and get the date the board was programmed. Mine was July 17th, I bet yours is newer

Mine also had the 200 temp setting on profile startup , the program date on mine was Oct 29th.I got curious and also just checked my Vaporshark. It shows two dates , one from Evolv from June and shows programmed by Vaporshark on Oct 29 as well.Vaporshark sets up three profiles but the ones not set from them also had a 200 watt one second startup.

i downloaded the csv file but when i went to use it I couldnt find it…i wrote the numbers down on a piece of paper can i put it into Escribe software manually? Thanks!
