why get all excited about a suggestion made by someone who has nothing to do with changes at all , if anyone has learned anything about elr its that daath will do whats best for the community
this i believe to be true , nets are more of a personalized thing its usually used by those who create it and if they share with others , i think the idea of contacting admin to post something new is a bit over board but the decision will be daaths
Would it work if we had flavor categories? The main default setting could be ALL, including DIY/NET, any unknown or obscure brands, any random uncategorized entry and standard for all the standard flavors we all know about. But then the same way we can click the box to hide single flavor recipes, we can click a box āHide all DIYā or āHide all obscuresā etc. Then a person would only see the standard brands.
The biggest problem, which doesnāt even bother me but just sayinā because it bother othersā¦is with duplicates and dummy entries. Itās hard for people to know when their order invoice labels a flavor in an odd way, especially the vendors who rebottle under various names, TPA=Signature= Flavor Apprentice= TFA. Then you have people who have some random flavor and just enter it as Strawbunny or DSR5 or what ever they mentally call their little potion.
Iām not sure if this is making sense. I have a DIY flavor entered and for the note I put details of how to make it in case anyone wanted to, so itās not some unattainable mystery. I think itās important to the creative process for people to be able to add what ever flavor they want whether itās well known or custom or not. But at the same time I can understand why this is so irritating to people.
I am excited because it is a passion I have. If you knew my life you would understand.
i wouldnt let anyones suggestions get you worried , i truly believe daath will do whats best and wont leave anyone out , i personally didnt like the idea but whatever
Sorry, passion got the better of me. I do apologize.
Passionate discussions are good!!
Carry on.
I know, but maybe sometimes I need to dial it back from 100 to 98. 98 only though. Then I am compromising and that will not do for my points.
In all seriousness, these are topics that affect all users of the recipe site. Iād rather see a passionate discussion about these types of topics than some of the pissing matches that you see on the web over much lesser things. So, no pissing matches and weāre all good.
Carry on.
im not offended , your all good imo , it wasnt my suggestion that got you going lmao
Like many others I love this site and use it constantly. I have a small suggestion that may be simple to implement. Hopefully. I work with premixes almost exclusively and after mixing the base I return to the recipe and at the bottom of the recipe it gives the % and mls to use in the mix. @daath is there any way that you could include mgs as well here? Yes, I know I have mild OCB.
On the flavor base page? To me it wouldnāt make sense to put mg there, since itās a flavor base and the ārecipeā for the flavor base has nothing to do with nic etc
Uhm, 3 lines up it says āStrength: 3mgā
Sorry, I misled you with mg. The nic reading is fine, itās the Flavor total that Iām interested in. Thereās a slight difference in mls and grams. So in any recipe, the amount in mls will differ from the amount in grams.
Oh you want the grams there as well?
Yup. please. The differences in the quoted recipe are minimal but with something like VBIC it can be .07g.
Itās there
You are a genius and a gentleman. Thank you.
I want this one
