Does ELR need some necessary changes?

why get all excited about a suggestion made by someone who has nothing to do with changes at all , if anyone has learned anything about elr its that daath will do whats best for the community

this i believe to be true , nets are more of a personalized thing its usually used by those who create it and if they share with others , i think the idea of contacting admin to post something new is a bit over board but the decision will be daaths

Would it work if we had flavor categories? The main default setting could be ALL, including DIY/NET, any unknown or obscure brands, any random uncategorized entry and standard for all the standard flavors we all know about. But then the same way we can click the box to hide single flavor recipes, we can click a box ā€œHide all DIYā€ or ā€œHide all obscuresā€ etc. Then a person would only see the standard brands.

The biggest problem, which doesnā€™t even bother me but just sayinā€™ because it bother othersā€¦is with duplicates and dummy entries. Itā€™s hard for people to know when their order invoice labels a flavor in an odd way, especially the vendors who rebottle under various names, TPA=Signature= Flavor Apprentice= TFA. Then you have people who have some random flavor and just enter it as Strawbunny or DSR5 or what ever they mentally call their little potion.

Iā€™m not sure if this is making sense. I have a DIY flavor entered and for the note I put details of how to make it in case anyone wanted to, so itā€™s not some unattainable mystery. I think itā€™s important to the creative process for people to be able to add what ever flavor they want whether itā€™s well known or custom or not. But at the same time I can understand why this is so irritating to people.

I know, but maybe sometimes I need to dial it back from 100 to 98. 98 only though. Then I am compromising and that will not do for my points.

In all seriousness, these are topics that affect all users of the recipe site. Iā€™d rather see a passionate discussion about these types of topics than some of the pissing matches that you see on the web over much lesser things. So, no pissing matches and weā€™re all good.

Carry on.

Like many others I love this site and use it constantly. I have a small suggestion that may be simple to implement. Hopefully. I work with premixes almost exclusively and after mixing the base I return to the recipe and at the bottom of the recipe it gives the % and mls to use in the mix. @daath is there any way that you could include mgs as well here? Yes, I know I have mild OCB.

On the flavor base page? To me it wouldnā€™t make sense to put mg there, since itā€™s a flavor base and the ā€œrecipeā€ for the flavor base has nothing to do with nic etc

On the actual recipe itself.

Uhm, 3 lines up it says ā€œStrength: 3mgā€

Sorry, I misled you with mg. The nic reading is fine, itā€™s the Flavor total that Iā€™m interested in. Thereā€™s a slight difference in mls and grams. So in any recipe, the amount in mls will differ from the amount in grams.

Oh you want the grams there as well?

Yup. please. The differences in the quoted recipe are minimal but with something like VBIC it can be .07g.
