Does everyone really use a huge variety of flavors and large volumes?

I HATE it when I can’t buy a new (to me) flavoring in less than 30ml size. Especially if it’s some crazy concentrated stuff like FA or whatnot. Even 15ml seems a bit of a drag when you find you don’t really care for the flavoring. Recently I was able to get a pretty good deal on an almost complete product line (OSDIY) in 5ml sampler bottles. Best Vapemail ever!

As far as the lifespan of mixed juice, I’d say after a year you might as well dump it. If it’s turned all watery or turned black, I wouldn’t bother with it.

I try out flavors in 10 ml or even 30 ml if 10 aren’t available. I also try to do a little research on new flavors. Namely, what this lot of peeps in the forum have to say about it. So far, they have yet to steer me or anybody else wrong.
When I first started mixing I was buying every flavor that crossed my mind or sparked my interest. To date, I have only been disappointed by a few. Each flavor has it’s place in a mix. The battle is finding how it may fit.
The accumulation of flavors just kind of happens I guess. LOL
Are you going to tell an artistic painter he can only use so many colors?
As to the volume of mixed liquids on hand…
I could skip mixing for a year or more probably. I have THAT much e-liquid made. I think I have a total of about 3 liters in the fridge and another liter or so laying around in my “man cave” made up of 20 or so really good recipes that I enjoy frequently. It’s nice to have a very large stash of steeped juices to choose from.
I haven’t done any mixing to speak of in a month and a half. I did a couple around the holidays, and haven’t touched a Erlenmeyer flask or my scales since. Busy making drip tips. LOL

some of mine have turned gross grey colors probably should start dating them when I get them. I chucked them . I know LA usually will date the dram bottle they are the only ones doing that to my knowledge out of the main 4 vendors.

I vape from 15 to 20 mils a day. I run 2 or 3 tanks at one time all day long.
And as far as how much to buy. There some flavors i get 4oz and some 30 mil. And some 13mil.
I ho through sweet strawberry the most.
After i steep them. Then i put them in a little fridge. And my flavors all stay in a fridge. I haven’t really had any go bad unless they get left by a window or sunlight.
But everyone is different and do different things. Good luck in diy.

Yes, they dated the 1oz bottle I bought too. Had to have the Cream Cheese Icing, and other sizes sold out. I am definitely thinking I will use it well before expiration though…I’m liking it a LOT!

Personally, I vape about 30-50 mls a day (50-70 if I’m dripping that day). I have roughly 30 bottles of flavoring ranging from 15ml to 4 oz for the flavors that I use a lot of. Also I bulk brew so I am liable to brew a 500ml bottle of juice that will last me roughly two weeks. I only get paid once a month so it is cheaper to buy and brew in bulk. I get my 4 oz flavors (TPA) for as little as $6.50, but only after I have confirmed that it is a good juice that I will vape often. I will have at the minimum, 3 bulk bottles (175 mls), and about 5-10 10ml testers ready to try. I have about 15 different recipes that I go back and forth through. Hope this helps.

I only have 3 flavors I buy large quantities of because they are the base for the ten recipes I rotate through. My experience with my own stuff is it stays good to vape for about 6 months. After that… I dont trust it. I was refridgerating it for a while butvwhen you make it yourself you can dump it and start over. VG is cheap!

Damn I thought I vaped alot but a few of you have me beat. I’m fairly new to diy’ing myself and also am trying to get my vanilla and strawberry custard mixes down before I move on to much else. That being said I buy my caps v1 in 4oz and I just picked up 4oz of tfa ripe strawberry. I will be picking up a 4oz of capps sweet strawberry next order as well. As far as my undertones I usually just get one or more 10 or 13ml bottles for now until I get everything just right. After that I see myself buying 4oz of everything I use.
