I love Bull City Flavors, and @wllmc, and they just ALWAYS do a bang up job, without exception. Sometimes, you just CAN’T make excuses for USPS though.
They’re in full SUCK MODE currently. I typically get my BCF orders in like 2-3 days max, ALWAYS.
Just when I thought I was going to be checking out the new CAP flavors this weekend, USPS, has gone STUPID.
This is NOT a third party carrier. Looks like they had the package IN my state within 1 day, but now have decided to send it on a wild goose chase.
I wonder if that blizzard mess on I 95 had anything to do with it. A normal 6 hour run with a solo driver, turns into said driver running out of legal hours before he gets to his dest. That sends the whole plan into a tailspin of trying to locate a recovery driver, do a trailer swap, etc.
I’ve had to set up countless recoveries (air charter) for shipments due to weather, mechanical / driver issues, and other reasons. Once it goes into recovery mode, it can turn into a real monkey’s wedding (mayhem).
Not an excuse, but might be a possible explanation.
I thought about that BEFORE I posted this @d_fabes, and thank you for the thought. I have to say NO, as the package traveled North TO , and landed IN my state. It should have been delivered that day, NOT leaving the state on it’s world tour.
It’s not just USPS…last Friday (New Years Eve) my BCF order spend the whole day riding around on the Fedex delivery truck, and then around 5pm I got an email that my package could not be delivered because according to the driver the porch to my house was closed for business so I had to wait until Monday for my order.
Yea, they suck. Always loosing mail. Won’t get out of their little mailmobile to put something on the porch. I’ve watched the ship stuff all over the country bouncing back and forth. It’s getting so I won’t even cook one up for dinner. Something wrong with those folks.
Yeah, they’re a mess. Have been for quite some time (pre-pandemic, pre-natural disasters etc). One of my biggest complaints are the reasons they give as to why they’re late (or can’t deliver). I’ve received notices like “too dangerous for mail carrier”, “large animal on property” and “could not locate address”. All invalid reasons. How about “we made a mistake” or “too late to complete delivery”? I’d rather have the truth than these lame excuses.
I’ve learned to not panic and wait a day. It always shows up regardless of the darkness, monsters and magically disapearing addresses.
Wow, that’s bad. A friend in Tennessee had a similar experience where it traveled around between nearby states bypassing his location and making a complete circle again.
So sorry, SD. I know there’s a lot going on within the USPS and it won’t get fixed overnight. I do have faith in its eventual rise to competency again. Wish I knew when.
