increased. Soon I was tootle puffing. Yes it’s true, all out tootle puffing. This went on for months. Tootling and puffing, puffing and tootling, it went on and on and on. One day my friends insisted I join them at a whomping party. I get to the party and there’s a few tootlers here and there but the main attraction was a big circle around the kitchen table. All my friends were in the circle. To my surprise, they were Whomping. C’mon they said, try it. They insisted I try it and it was obvious they were not gonna stop. I reluctantly tried it and now, I’m hooked. I stand before you now 2 years later. A Tootle Puffing Mod Whomper. It’s true, I can not stop. There is hope though. Sara… nice to have you… But as to the over 2ml ban I freaked out too trying to get my hands on a Pharaoh and was told by my guys at my B&M that the 2ml only pertains to the prefilled cartridges type not like a smok beast or OBS engine ect… those are refillable and not in the TPD. But by God if I am wrong and miss informed PLEASE Someone tell me. @DrChud as you seem to know this law like the back of your hand could you chime in??
Mike here, and I am a vapoholic. I’ve been vaping for about three years. In the past two weeks, I’ve bought 8 tanks, 2 RDAs, 2 mods and a bunch of flavorings. I keep my mod on my nightstand in case I wake up in the middle of the night. At 54, I don’t sleep through till morning. I have two mods, two attys and two flavorings at all times because I fear my car will breakdown or something and I’ll be stuck in the desert with a dead mod or no juice. One of these days, I may pack a water bottle or two.
Feels good to get that off my chest.
Somebody point me to the coffee and doughnut flavored juice.
The 2ml ban will only really affect brick and mortar vape shops. It’s actually a grey area and the way it’s worded in article 20 makes it appear to only refer to carto’s or one use tanks such as ce4’s. However, every EU country except Germany, that I’m aware of, have taken this to mean all tanks. So you’ll not see them in vape shops, and if you do the owner could face a fine.
Tanks such as the kylin and aromamizer supreme lite have gotten around this by selling the standard tank as a 2ml and including and extension kit in the box, so it’s technically a 2ml tank. The best way around this is to buy direct from China, unless your package is stopped by customs there shouldn’t be a problem getting them.

Also sense I am in Germany that is why I’m not seeing the sales on the tanks like others are commenting on so I guess it’s a win lose thing. But could be a win for others that might need to get there hands on something too cuz I know there a couple more of us over here too.

Hello and thanks for the welcome. It depends on your country in Europe. In my specific country, the ban is 100% in clear writing that tanks over 2ml are gone. The end. Even the seller’s sites have it written down clearly, which is why the next few weeks they will clear all their stock with it. Some sites already have it marked down to like 70+ percent, but others will do increased sales up to the date.
Not only are tanks going in my country; the laws they are doing are insane. Like from now on you can’t even buy a base with nicotine in bottles over 10ml.
It used to be that they were allowed to sell 0mg base up to 1000ml with 10ml nicotine bottles in a bundle. They would pull out the extra base and give you the amount of bottles needed, now they aren’t allowed to package specially any refillable bottles over 10ml with nicotine…
Because that’s obviously not a targeted ban trying to get more people to smoke cigarettes again… That quite obviously has an insane health value…
On top of a slew of other laws. My nordic country is really dependant on cigarette sales…
To clear up the tank issue, this is directly from article 20 of the TPD. Note part 3(a), “Dedicated refill containers in disposable electronic-cigarettes” i.e. ce4’s, or “in single use cartridges” i.e.cartos. This is why Germany opted out of the tank ban and there’s talk that a few more countries are going to follow suit pretty soon. Rta’s and tanks are not disposable e-cigarettes.

Vaping legislation arrives at midnight tomorrow
As you probably already know, the Tobacco Products Directive legislation comes into full effect at midnight tomorrow - Friday 19th May.
We just wanted to give you a quick reminder of what this means to you.
For all Vapers
The biggest changes you’ll notice are that bottles of e liquid are limited to a 10ml maximum size and 20mg maximum strength - and tanks/clearomisers have a 2ml maximum size. Also, because every product on the market has to be notified (with a hefty fee) to the Government, you might notice a reduction in the range of products available in the short-term.
For DIY Mixers
The good news, if you make your own e liquid, is that flavour concentrates are unaffected – so you’ll still be able to get hold of the full range of great flavours. PG and VG are also unaffected.
The trickiest part will be getting used to the new legal nicotine strength – as nicotine for mixing has been hit by the same 10ml/20mg maximums as e liquid. However, it is perfectly possible to carry on mixing as usual. Please see our guide here.

If you own a business, please be aware that we can continue to supply 72mg nicotine to trade customers. I
You might have seen my earlier post where I said that individual countries (except Germany so far) have taken it upon themselves to interpret the 2ml part as being all tanks. That screenshot is from the actual document so you can make up your own mind what it means. Either way it means that they’ll be banned for the majority of us in the EU. I personally think that one could be repealed, especially if Spain, Portugal and France opt out of it too.
