I look at it from the other direction. I’m making 5 recipes. Out of the five recipes I’ll pick the best of the five and submit the one I like the best. Heck, I have a month. So far I have three. Two are submissable.
You mean 5 distinct recipes? I think that’s great.
Yep! 3 down 2 to go. Only 1 so far has turned out as expected. Two of the recipes turned out nothing like I expected but still in my vape wheel house. Need inspiration for the last two. It’s only the 12th. March is a long month.
Sounds good. I have 2 recipes and decided I like one of them better. If I get it to where I’m happy, I might venture out to trying another.
ETA: I’m wrong. Eh, my memory is wrong. I made 3 recipes. I totally forgot about “that” one.
@muth I think my long career as a chef contributes to my constant tinkering, I did the same thing while I was working.
Thank you for the incredibly kind words! It does help and makes me want to always strive to be better. It’s folks like you that give me hope for our world!
Thank you again.
I have made 3, the first 2 are somewhere in our sewer system!
Iv made like 5 recipes so far. 3 id say are just about vapable but they just dont pop in flavor saturation like i can get with other brands. I like the profile of one a lot but it dont pop like i want and all of them have that same flv alcohol base aftertaste i cant stand.i seem to be really sensitive to it because every single flavor tastes like theres boubon in it. Iv always hated the taste of alcohol in general though
Which can only benefit our sewer, so thx
The alcohol should calm down in time, I would think
I’m having the opposite problem. One is so saturated I’m wondering if it will disgust people? That was in the dripper. I’m going to throw it in a Kayfun and see what it does in that environment. It’s not like I’m using unreasonable pcts.
@TimWV I think being a chef is a great benefit to DIY. You and others alike can have a step up with your knowledge of flavors. Chefs and mixologists
The alcohol floats to top of a mix. If you give it a little squeeze to air it out during steeping the alcohol taste dissipate’s Remember to replace the cap after that squeeze.
Sure, from Mr. Pipes. His own homogenizer is called the GC (Game Changer). He also sometimes has other professional homogenizers that he sells like Kinematica. You can find these used on eBay but if you don’t know what you’re doing you might end up with a disaster. He will only sell you a product that he’s approved himself.
I don’t know what’s wrong with me, I just found another recipe I wrote for the contest and forgot about it. I guess I have more mixing to do. Space Cadet
Im suprised you like any VSO flavors with the Ethyl Alcohol sensitivity…
If it’s a good recipe then you could attempt @ toning it down slightly. I’ve had to do that with a recipe I am working on. It had so much flavor it was sickening. I adjusted the total down 1% and it was still good just not as potent.
The only vso i really use a lot is the butter raw but havent had any alcohol sensitivity to it. I know sone flavirs like natures flavors im a lil sensitive to the alcohol at first but they steep out quick. Flv is a different alcohol note though. For me instaed of like a pga type like natures flavors and vso flv i get almost a alcohol flavor like bourbon. I get it in every bakery or dessert flavor but not in the fruits. Kinda like a oakish floral type alcohol flavor
Heehee, I’m kind of jesting but working out the finals. I rather like it myself and want to try it in a RTA vs dripper to see how differently it performs. It’s good to hear that -1% worked out well for your outcome. Congrats and thx for the assist
