For those other folks who are also strawberry “handicapped” like myself, this might just work for you.
Strawberry Jam (OOO) has always kicked in a full sweet rich strawberry flavor for me. Plus, having a buttery note in there, it works in a bakery recipe. Not for everyone, but maybe this recipe can help someone out there.

Wish I could have participated, but for some reason, idk ¯_(ツ)_/¯ why, I just wasnt up to it… Lol
Anyway, miss all you guys, things are still pretty slow going. I am doing a bit better, hoping I can stop using the walker soon. My arm hasn’t really gotten much better. It’s weird how nerves & our brain works. I’ve gotten most function in my hand back although it’s not as strong as it was, but my arm is still pretty lame.
Anyway, great seeing these contests happen, seeing all the community come together.

This has certainly been a long drawn-out ordeal for you. I can understand how the healing process
takes time. Be patient with yourself while you’re still on the mend. Take extra care of all you eat &
drink to supply your body with the proper nutrition helping the process along. Looking forward to
seeing you around here more often. God be with you!

So very humbled! I never imagined one of my recipes would be good enough to come close in a contest with so many far more experienced and talented mixers than I could ever be!

I screwed this one up. I worked hard to get a recipe I liked and just before submitting it on the last day, I found that two of the flavors weren’t available. Oops! I threw a hail Mary without even testing it. I actually used a flavor called, “Strawberry Shortcake”

OoO sb shortcake is a good base to build on. I sft’Ed it for Noted dx, and remember it not being bad, just light on cake, and sb needed help: looks like a good recipe!
