My concern is is for my daughter. With the microbiology degree she gets everything that is not automated. People who go to the emergency room are first tested for the common flu. She will get those tests. They don’t test for COV. The lab will also cut corners. Her boss will make the call to work under a hood or not. In the five years she has worked for them she has been hospitalized twice during the anthrax scare days.
There is speculation that the bats gave the virus to panglin’s
and that the illegal trafficking of the animal is a large cause of
the spread. I think the theory is just BS to bring the endangered
species people into the light but who knows. I just like
pangolin’s.
Me too. Adorable little critters. In the 1970s I lived for a few years in St. Pete, FL, and (somewhat similar) little Armadillos used to trot through the brush in the night. Very shy - but busy nevertheless.
I have not seen the “speculation” regarding Pangolin involvement get very far in what I have read (all too much, as there is little else in the media). As the chart that I posted (above in this thread) shows, the (designated “pangolin”) strains are genetically different. The (single) Bat strain is also different, but the closest genetic match found. We will likely never be able to prove that it was not in fact the dark arts of DYI e-juice mixing that started the whole affair. Probably the “illustrious” CDC’s next scapegoat ? …
