FA Lime Tahity cold pressed

Gday everyone , damn i love lime , but… i cant get this one to work no matter what i do .

Im starting to wonder if i got a bad batch as where i buy they decanter from bigger bottles .

Ive tried sweeteners and low % but all i get is lime with a nasty rind flavour .

Is anyone keen to lend some advice on how to use this flavor ?

Muchly appreciated thanks ,

It is supposed to work magic in this recipe at a low percentage.

Key Lime Pie

Ingredient %
Cheesecake (Graham Crust) (TPA) 2
Custard (FA) 1.7
Key Lime (TPA) 3
Lime Tahity (Cold Pressed) (FA) 0.5
Pie Crust (TPA) 1

Flavor total: 8.2%

yeah i reckon all that AP might crunch down on the zest flavour im getting from it , was just wondering if its really supposed to be that bitter or i got a bad batch , im no sweet tooth but for me its like eating a lime skin , lol

Use Lime Tahity (Distilled) FA instead or as the lead flavor and add Lime Tahity (Cold Pressed) FA as a supporting note but at a low %

A ratio of 3:1 or 4:1 works perfectly…
Example:

Optimus Lime

Ingredient %
Cheesecake (Graham Crust) (TPA) 3
Custard (FA) 2
Graham Cracker (FW) 0.25
Lime Tahity (Cold Pressed) (FA) 0.5
Lime Tahity (Distilled) (FA) 1.5
Liquid Stevia (Pyure) 0.5
Marshmallow (FA) 2
Meringue (FA) 1.5
New York Cheesecake (CAP) 4
Sour (TPA) 0.5

Flavor total: 15.75%

Cold-pressed process is literally using the entire fruit, skin, seeds and all. So yes, cold-pressed is supposed to taste like that. It has a bitterness and bite to it.

Distilled is like plain squeezed lime juice.

From Wikipedia
Manufacturing process
Making cold pressed juice is a 2 step process. Step 1 is to grind the fruit and vegetables into a pulp, and step 2 is to use a hydraulic juice press to squeeze the water out of the pulp, creating juice.

I may be just a flavor that won’t work for you. Some find FA flavors to “natural tasting” when comparing to cap or tpa flavors.

For me lime cold pressed FA is like lemon Sicily FA…but lime. I love mixing with lime cold pressed FA with a small bit of lime FA since lime FA is the one that punches.

That being…double check the bottle. I’m sure you did but make sure it says cold pressed. There are two different lime FA’s.

Also…can you share what recpie you have been mixing? I think my last lime mix had 1.5% cod pressed in it…to steep for one month.

I have the same problem with most lemon and limes, the only one I can get a decent response out of it Lemon Sicily at low percentages

yeah i guess i need to experiemnt more , the bottle i bought was decantered from a big bottle , i rang the supplier and he said its definately the cold pressed and that the big bottle he took it from was quite new ( like only 2 months old) . i tried it with this recepe http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/233977/LIMONCINO%20DEL%20CHIOSTRO , and it was just plain wrong !! tasted like a was vaping wax lol .
i actually love the lemon Sicily and tried a lemon lime with real low % about .25% lime 2%Lemon and 1% sucrolose + .5% marshmallow anand still yuuuuck lol even after two weeks both just tasted like bitter wax , i may just need to switch to a different lime but im crossing my fingers that i got a bad batch lol

cheers dude , oh im gonna needd to update my flavor stash haha , noooo not again haha

Grrrrr. So sad. Ugggg. Some people do get that “cleaner” like taste from lemon and limes. I get it to sometimes. I find I have to get past the initial shock.

Sometimes it will be better on an rda vs a tank. Sometimes better at a high temp or lower temp.

I looked at the recpie and the percents seem high for my taste. One of my starting points for fruits is this…

Lime cold pressed FA. 2%
Marshmallow FA 1.5
Fresh cream FA 1%. (Can sun vienna cream)
The mallow will give that last push and the cream wil smooth out the edges.
