I watched all his videos 5+ times probably and i still do occasionally. It’s still more entertaining than watching new movies. Hats off to the legend.

Never for an instant forget the effort to renew your life, to build yourself anew. Creativity means to push open the heavy, groaning doorway of life itself. This is not an easy task. Indeed, it may be the most severely challenging struggle there is. For opening the door to your own life is in the end more difficult than opening the door to all the mysteries of the universe. Dialogue is not some simplistic assertion of one’s own position, nor is it necessarily about persuading others to one’s point of view. Dialogue is about demonstrating respect for another’s life, and being determined to learn when confronted with differences in personality and perspective.

Kind of what that ‘tenets of wokeness’ above is alluding to.

Do you have a link to that speech? I wanted to reply to your quote but I hesitated because I have an issue with this current “woke” definition and I need someone to explain it to me. Where I’m coming from as a Buddhist, the name Buddha simply means “One whose eyes are open”. I think most understand this as a person who is awakened to the ultimate reality/truth. And of course, nothing is wrong with that! Sure, it’s meaning goes a lot deeper than politics et al but the whole connotation of “being awake” should be a positive thing. I’m getting the perception that this new “woke” thing is hated by people. Why? What’s going on, what is it, really? Thx for 'splaining.
