Same, but for lack of garage space, and a back seat. Just last thursday I came this close → ← to picking up a 2021 HD Iron 883. Before I had a Yamaha 750 Maxim X with their Genesis engine. You 'mericans were limited to 700CC.
Ya need a special kit just to flip the mirrors down? I didn’t see that one, geez, more $$$. Thx for the heads up though.
About $25 on Amazon. Cool looking? Yep. Effective? Cheap & easy enough to find out ![]()

Wisdom for Modern Life by Daisaku Ikeda
People’s hearts are growing more complex, more confused and harder to understand. The same is true for human institutions. The darkness of this complicated and disturbed age may grow even deeper. This is why there is an even greater need for the brilliant inner light of culture, for education that polishes people’s wisdom and character. This is the key to winning in life.
Great bike, I love Honda
I’ve been looking at them too. You can get ones on Marketplace barely ridden for $3-4K
Wow, some ebikes are more than that. I’ve been looking at cargo bikes lately. The idea of ditching gas entirely appeals to me but I love the looks of that Honda.
A kid flipped over on his Talaria today out in front of my house and I heard it from my computer. I went out to check on him and I told him he had a nice cherry on his back but from experience it builds character. He asked me to take a picture of it for him and we talked about ebikes and dirt bikes in general for a while. I told him I’ve been interested in getting a Stark Varg. He said he has a CR80 and I showed him my CR250. Cool kid. Glad to see kids out there doing rad stuff.
I’ve been a huge Honda fan ever since I raced for them at the age of 14.
My brother started out racing a KX60 and I an 85’ KX80. I rode for TUF. Racing on a KX125 in 1990.
This is me at 12 on the KX125 right after getting it in late 1989 at Casey MX.
This is me at 15 on my 1992 CR250 Racing for MPP @ the Tulsa Expo Center.
This was my last amateur race before going pro in 1993.
Dude, I’ve done that same pose as you on #8. Early 80’s riding a buddy’s CanAm. I ride around the circuit sorta slow a couple times. So now I’m a pro
. Going pretty good till I hit the jump. I thought I had pretty good form, flying, then got worried about the landing so I gripped really hard (pulling the front brake at the same time). I wiped out and bent the front fender. Him, behind me, almost landed on top of me. ![]()
Congrats! Big accomplishment.
Thanks, I was blessed with incredible parents who sacrificed a lot to make it possible. What I wouldn’t do to see my Dad once more. ![]()
I feel that way all the time about my dad. Whenever things were going bad, a visit back home to hang out with him was the cure. He always made me laugh and forget about everything.
