Flavor naming update #2 (naming convention)

I need to add a few more

Yeah adding SSA to the name will likely just confuse some folks.

The confusion is in my file system. I had to move all my MB products to my SSA rack because all the new flavors are under SSA labels. Only have a couple under SSA and got to remember where they are. I’m not too good at remembering now days. LOL

I just popped in. Am I understanding correctly that we should re-list the Molinberry brand as SSA now? Thank God I don’t have many Molinberry…I think

No. Both suggestions I have gotten are to list Molliberry products as MB only and not use SSA to cut confusion.

I would disagree here, i think Iggy has added it perfectly.

We should be adding (Concentrate) to the name, because… that’s the name. Wild Strawberry (Concentrate) is the name and that ‘Concentrate’ is telling way more than various ‘Type’ or similar names at Sobucky (if anything, then that wouldn’t be needed, because ‘Type’ means nothing, while ‘Concentrate’ means something meaningful). It is a separate line and Sobucky has it listed separately.

Here’s why we shouldn’t remove concentrate out… see how this would read and how more difficult would it be to find your flavor

…and it’s not just ‘Concentrate’ the additional name that we should be writing… We should also be writing ‘Natural’ for some SSA flavors to make it properly and easy to find (while FTNF and WONF is probably not needed). See here

ATF have it properly added (imo; they write both, ‘natural’ and ‘concentrate’ since that’s the name of the flavor).

Unfortunately weather you or i agree or disagree the naming of the flavors is set. To add one flavor different because it was bought directly from manufacturer just creates problem especially when we have to start merging things. With SSA arent they all Concentrates ? If concentrates is a different type of line within SSA entire line up then i can see that. If every flavor that comes direct from them has the word Concentrate under flavor name then no need to add.

As for WF Naturals yes 100pct they should have the Naturals name.

Fidalgo you might want to check the website and you would get a better understanding what ‘concentrate’ means at Sobucky.

‘Naming of flavors is set’ - yes, it is set to write the whole names as they are (while you added just some random ordinary SSA, which ofc are clearly not concentrates, so those prove nothing regarding how naming is set).

Concentrates are different line of flavors, they have different use (because all these SSA flavors are ofc not primarily meant for vaping but they are producing these for other purposes, right?) and they are taken at different quantities than regulars and i can imagine some users will be searching specifically for concentrates).

No, of course not. Who said they are?
These are way more different to regular flavors than WF regulars and Naturals are and they mix differently (not to mention they have different names, with just Concentrate added to show what this is about; note that this is not just some dummy random word there such as ‘Type’). Check how Sobucky lists them and how they list other flavors…

I agree, but who said that?
This is their different line and you would see that if you open their website. Currently they launched only 23 concentrates (and yes, all these have different names than regulars, these are not doubles or same flavors). Concentrates - page 2

See how they have these flavors divided from others, just like they have divided MB flavors at the bottom.

like i said here. Honestly i had no clue they had different lines i dont buy from SSA direct.

@Mikser I’m counting 23 “concentrates”.

Yes, these are new flavors. (AND… they ofc don’t release just concentrates now of the sudden ofc, but mostly regulars as they did always before)

@SessionDrummer Correct, 23 are there so far.

ahhh ok they are new , That makes sense so theres gonna be double named things? Panna Cotta SSA and now Panna Cotta (concentrate) or am i looking at wrong page. Really when it comes down to it people are going to add flavors on ELR how they see fit since it open unlike ATF so who cares. Moving this thread to a naming convention thread

Nope. There is Panna Cotta MB (SSA), not Panna Cotta SSA. Molinberry flavors have sometimes same names (until they keep them), but they are NOT same flavors as Concentrates. As you might expect, concentrates are way more concentrated than those MB were (and i would also assume they are different flavors). Another reason to name them properly.

I got this bottle directly from sobucky. It says concentrate. As does my wild cherry.

then tell sobucky to remove it. they are clearly wrong

But we dont add the Concentrate to the names…See here this is how we do the names.

if you need to add something just look up the way they are named and follow that

So i guess that is a newer line of flavors which will be called Concentrate opposed to their regular flavors. If that is the case it makes sense to add the concengrate name. Hopefully when they come to resellers we see the name added as well or we will have multiple namea for same flavors (as if we dont already)

@Mikser the Naturals line , is that the same as Natural Lemon that bcf sells ??

distributors don’t always label “as-is” and often drop concentrate from their site or the printed label itself

you end up with the same catch-22 problem people trying to add the same flavour with different titles

they may think mine isn’t concentrate when it actually is because of the re-bottled printed label and vice versa

I have Inawera cherry koncentrat but its labeled as just cherry

i dont disagree that things should be labeled as is but ELR naming implementation and distributors doing their own thing makes it complicated

Ya we have asked to have the database to be closed like ATF and until then there will always be some confusion since resellers dont always name things exactly like manufacturer. We have tried to keep up with whats going on
