Unfortunately it appears that the new Australian Federal vape laws are going to pass as the Greens party has done a deal behind closed doors as reported today. I haven’t digested it all but from what I’m reading it has been somewhat diluted.
It’s possible that I will have to stop vaping and visiting any forums etc as I certainly can’t afford to pay some of the astronomical fines or risk prison time.
One strange thing that I’ve heard is that adults won’t need a prescription but will only be able to buy TGA approved merchandise from chemists. From memory they’ll be ludicrously priced and no doubt crap pod systems in either mint,tobacco or unflavored only. All vape businesses will be shut down. To get the chemists pod will require consultation with the chemist but no prescription?
Doesn’t make sense to me but there again none of it does.
A very sad day but I’m still unsure exactly what all the laws entail.

Wait… fines for visiting vaping forums? That must be a mistake, right?
I mean they can ban vaping in public or ban the imports, but visiting online forums? Because what’s next if true? Couple of years in prison for watching porn (or any content that is not along the leading political party views)? 10 years for using cracked Win7, 25y to life time for using torrents or Tor)? Wonderful free world (EU is not far behind anyway).

My point exactly; without naming any country, that’s what only the most fascistic / communistic / dictatorship regimes would do, not what so called democracies or freedom societies would.
(what happens in China doesn’t really bother me that much; what’s happening here is only important for me; ‘‘we’re better than them’’ is a child’s play, if we are suddenly losing freedoms that what we already once had).

There is already ridiculous overreach with the “thought processes”. How the heck can they possibly try to determine what we are thinking, but there is already so many fines, penalties and risks of being ostracized and/or being jailed just for falling out of line with the indoctrinated group think. Look at the man being jailed for posting a meme regarding a certain presidential candidate, look at the J6 people still locked up in prison today, yet the other rioters causing billions of damages/injuries/deaths during the Summer of Love getting away scot free? Hypocrisy much???

I thought it was bad enough that women were harmed because they couldn’t get the proper gyno care they needed but now there’s talk about womens’ pregnancies being reported. If I was still at that age and my husband and I wanted a baby it’s no one’s damn business if I’m pregnant or not. That’s between me and my doctor.

I am so sorry you’re having to deal with this insanity. If there’s anything at all we can do to help please reach out. When this whole thing started I was wondering if there might be a way to extract nic from patches. Maybe they can be soaked in PG? Much like we soak tobacco leaf in PG to make NETs. Idk, but where there’s a will, there’s a way. I’m not letting these effers win if I can help it.

To be honest I’m confused.
It’s been reported several times today that our ‘Health’ minister and the government have had to do a bit of a backflip to gain The Greens support which has had some effect on what’s coming but it all seems very confusing and in some ways contradictory. Again as far as I can tell it still isn’t actually law yet as it hasn’t been officially voted on but vape businesses are definitely closing down.
There originally was something about promoting vaping so from what I was told wearing a manufacturers hat or whatever would have been enough so by extension an Australian coming on here and saying how wonderful a particular concentrate is would be enough?
Unfortunately I’ve become so distrustful of all this I’d rather keep my head down too.
It’s all become quite stressful trying to work out what’s going to be legal and what isn’t.

i’m sure it won’t be that bad. Visiting online forums won’t be punished just like visiting forums for heroin addicts isn’t; that’s not ‘promoting’, neither is wearing logos of vaping brands (just like wearing weed t-shirts never had been).
I mean the point of banning something is not terrorizing your own people, but preventing people to use that thing.
If i was wrong above and they would ban you those things, then the ban on vaping would be the least of your worries; there would be much bigger things to be concerned about in that case.

I have a couple of questions. Do you use nic when testing? Do you use the Steam Crave when doing normal vaping?

I dont want to answer for sd but about the nic, you really always gotta test with nic. Without nic flavors just fall really flat. Its that nic oxidation that really drives the flavor in my opinion

Yes, yes, and MORE yes. Here’s what’s sitting next to me RIGHT NOW.
(2) SC Aromamizer v.1 (the RDTA v.1 that I use for testing), one with the Flavor Jungle flavors I’m testing, the other with a prototype I’m working on. (1) SC Supreme v.2 with my ADV, blueberries, custard, graham, cream. (1) SC RDTA v.2 6ml with my S’mores submission from the recent contest.
Yes, I may HAVE an SC problem.
BUT, as they say, “It’s not the DRUGS that kills ya, it’s the LOOKING for drugs that does” !!!
As long as my considerable SC hoard holds up, hehe, I think I’ll be ok.
Lastly, but not least important, YES. When I FIRST started back in 2017 (I think), with the RFSC’s I briefly didn’t use NIC, but I had TWO thoughts. The first was, even though I vape, and test DTL @ 3mg, something just felt “different” or “missing” with the NIC left out. The second was, what sense did it make to test without NIC, when most of us would be using flavors WITH NIC !!! Test it like you use it Nat, that’s what I settled on.

To expand @natbone I do occasionally run some of my many other tanks. I don’t very often reach for the HUGE SteamCraves, most specifically the Plus, and not because it’s bad, or doesn’t perform, but it’s a Big Sucka, and sometimes, it’s just easy to roll out the little 3ml RDTA and get ripping.
If any of you read the OG post here, I actually struggled to decide on WHAT I was going to use to test. This was back in 2017. I didn’t want to have to keep changing, shifting, because then, it would be VERY hard to compare, or equate my reviews, if I changed the testing platform every time. Sure, sure, maybe it wouldn’t vary that much, BUT, maybe it would. Same platform, and you can directly compare / contrast my results from 2017, all the way up to today with validity. Yes, I do occasionally get, “Hey why don’t you test with this”, or "You should use that’, or “You really need to use THIS” comments, hehe.
I was saddened that RDA’s never really took off for me, and I’ve tried a LOT of them. I mean shit, what’s easier to test on, than an RDA ?? !!! Hehe, believe me, I didn’t choose what I did for easy, but to this day, I’m still shocked by how RIGHT SteamCrave got their v.1, even back in 2017. Impressive.
