Couldn’t agree more! Right there with ya…
Texture is everything in some cases. It’s the same reason I HATE coconut and pineapple. (Major distaste for ‘stringy’.) But I’ve often enjoyed various things with those flavors in them.

Carrot as a flavor though? Yeah, I’ll pass.
That goes in the same group as raisins for me!

but wait… Carrots and raisins go good… hmm…
Carrot raisin rum… cookies… bread puddings? maybe a bubbly drink with them all in and happy dancing… :kissing_heart:

@anon84779643! Can you tell me the basic difference between Raspberry and Red Raspberry FLV, please? Order pending to replace an out of stock item. Thanks!

Raspberry - more like the real fruit
Red Raspberry - more like juicy red berry candy

My suggestion is to grab them both! :hugs:

I would, but I already paid for the giant flavor order last night, they’re asking if I want to replace an out of stock flavor with another Raspberry. I did pick up quite a few other FLV, though. I’ll post in the FLV flavor topic later. Thanks for the speedy concise reply!

It was kind of cool to have Bryson recommend adding some Citrus soda into my recipe so taking his advice even though I don’t have that flavor YET. I did order the flavor but I figure when he tells you it needs it lol it needs it

Can you make an ice cream base with just flavorah flavors? I ask because I have a recipe that is all flavorah except the ice cream part.

I know who can answer that question …

When I want an ice cream, sure I can make it out of only flv…

A little cream, sweet cream, and 4 additives: vanilla bean, smooth vanilla ice and cool menthol.

Adjust to your preferred amounts  Mine might be different than what you come up with.

In fact… someone sent me a 100ml bottle of holy cannoli… zero nic…

I would say for that one:

Lemon
Cream
Sweet cream
Crunch Cereal
Vanilla bean
Smooth Van
Ice

could make an awesome clone of it…

First attempt at a throw-it-together without doing solos… based off of plenty of reading and intuition. This one is obviously in need of a good 5 day steep to let the yeast aspect calm down or do some other magic sciencey thing…

My first thought is that I need to cut the Donuts and/or Sweet Dough in half. 0.80 total dough aspect may well be very, very high, though the steep will tell. Performing sft from the bottom up never sounded so sensible!

Other than the obvious advice(do the work, silly), what are your thoughts, @anon84779643?

Believe it or not, I like both the sweet dough and the donuts right where you have them… however… together… I will drop donuts to .2% and keep the sweet dough at .4%

I will also back up the raspberry with red raspberry for a jelly type filling… and spike it with strawberry and pink fruit…

I also think you need some cream in there to sooth the higher harsh notes…
put sweetness at .12% and it will equal 3 drops in 30m which comes to .06g on your scales.
(if you have your drops set right on your recipe)
