Absolutely brand new to mixing, as of yesterday in fact. Firstly, let me say a huge thank you to this place. I’ve learnt so much researching bits here and there and have some great recipe ideas from here.
Anyway, I’ve knocked up a very simple flavour to kick me off. Mango (8.3%), Pineapple (3.5%) and Ethyl Maltol (0.3%).
For my own made up ratios I’m dead pleased with the results, the inhale is spot on, little pineapple heavy so needs some tweaking, but really flavoursome right off the bat.
The problem I have is that there’s no exhale flavour and just a sort of dry aftertaste. Is there anything I can do to give the juice a nicer exhale and aftertaste?
I would give it a couple of days of steeping and then see what it tastes like before tweaking it. Although fruits are usually good to shake and vape, a little time can do a lot for a juice. Also EM is known to mute flavours, most people here use Marshmallow for the sweet note.
I’ve had mixes do the same. There is no lingering flavor after the exhale. I describe it as a lack of depth. There are several ideas on how to add depth to a mix…
Way to go @Pro_Vapes for adding in a search link. My fat thumbs on the phone have problems doing that.
I would recommend reading through some of those posts that bring up topics of depth, feel, exhale.
As a short answer. I am guessing maybe you are using Cap? If you really really like mango. Do some research on mango flavors from all the other brands. Pick another one that appears, based on user reviews, to give you mango on the exhale…or another highly rated mango. Then on your next order, add it to your cart. That way the next time you mix you can add both to get a fuller mango taste.
But don’t trust me. Do a recipie search for “mango” and plenty of the top rated recipies will have two mangos from two different companies.
Wow! Guys thank you so much. Quite a large layout, financially, to start DIY juices but I’m so determined to get there and the support from here is absolutely wonderful. Thank you all so very much!
The finances are tough at the start. I started diy’ing last summer. Bought a lot of flavors odly enough in 30ml bottles from FA. I still havnt finished one yet. Even Vienna cream FA which I use in a lot of stuff.
Outside of your first 2 DIY orders for flavors the cost in terms of how it feels goes down and that’s when you say DIYing my own ejuice is much cheaper than buying from the shop down the street.
