Flavourart Custard

Is it just me or is the Flavourart Custard concentrate supposed to look that dark and smell nothing like custard. I just received a bottle from Bullcity. I admit I did order this by mistake but it would seem to be a waste if I didnt use it!!! What percentages are you mixing this at as a stand alone? What else does it work well with?

Thanks in advance for any advice given

Welcome to ELR @Damage, check out the recipe side of the site for loads of info on that.

Percentages in recipes
Average mixing quantity: 2.2% (Median: 2%)
Minimum used quantity: 0%
Maximum used quantity: 80%

Single flavor recommendations: 76
Average quantity: 3.4% (Median: 3.0%)
Minimum used quantity: 0.5%
Maximum used quantity: 10.0%

It DOES have a darker color, and it’s not a vanilla custard like CAP VC, etc.

I would test at 1 and 2 pct … It has a lemon note at the tail end…it is a useful custard

Yes, the regular custard is very dark. It also has a lemon note to it. Their Premium Custard is light without the lemon. I love them both.

FA custard is dark (ish) color, and have lemony notes to it.
I usually use it at 1-4% (usually 3% as custard base), and since it have that lemony notes, I found it work well with berries and other bright fruits.
