FLAVRZ Flavors Reviewed by SessionDrummer -- TESTING NOW!

@SessionDrummer I have read all your tests for various flavour houses, and where I have the flavour I tend to agree. I don’t expect everything is a match - like or dislike e.g. I like net tobaccos and liquorice. But your notes have been invaluable. A true service to the DIY community.

@Jetz explaining how to use the flavours has opened my eyes and given me ideas e.g using marshmallow custard low to make a liquorice taffy more chewy and creamy - still theory but I will be trying it soon and promise to put recipe up if it is at least decent.

Must have been a few years now I’ve been following your reviews, greater than 9 buy is my rule. I’ve always found them honest and reliable for me, of course there’s been a few differences but can’t be many I can’t think of one now. :grinning:

I went down a liquorice all sorts rabbit hole a while back. I was surprised how coconut paired so well with it.

We have done one as a ONE SHOT
If you use the following as a base it will help you get there. Note this is based on all FLAVRZ flavours.
Tobacco #37 …16%
Rum & Raisin …2%
Vanilla Bourbon… 0.4%
Portello … 0.3%

Portello gives it that Port Royal Tobacco flavouring.
Adjust the above for you own tastes, you could add in Virginia Tobacco (Flavrz)

I am sure you will keep the recipe a secret!

ABSOLUTELY … as @Sessiondrummer would say… I HOPE YOU ALL are LISTENING!

That it will, it is a very UNQIUE flavouring the OG Marshmallow Custard used high it gives more a White Toffee flavouring. Mid a Marshmallow type of Meringue Custard with Custard tones. Low it adds that something to fruits like a Meringue does but in a better way … in our opinion.

Jetz I am a total freak for Irish Cream, so if y’all do release a true Irish Cream one-shot or even a really good recipe for Irish cream and I see some really good reviews on either. Then I may be inclined to purchase a Rocky Toony sized bottle of one shot. YES THE BIG BOTTLE!!!

While I’m thinking about it I may head over to diyejuice and grab a large bottle of VTA Irish Cream, that one is like an Irish Cream one-shot if mixed @9% max Vg.

:thinking:Mmm interesting choices I can see using the highly rated cheesecake to add more of a mascarpone/cream cheese if the tiramisu flavor doesn’t have enough. Though I don’t see where an Irish Cream fits. I probably look at using either a combo of Vanilla Custard and or Marshmallow Custard in place of yogurt to fill out the creaminess of the Tiramisu which is essentially a thick cream cheese custard filled with coffee flavored biscuit/cookie/cake. The Maccas coffee with as SD said a slight hint of cake might prove useful also.
I can see Flavrz having a Coffee Liqueur/ Kahlua type flavor in the near future. Though I like tiramisu with more of a Amaretto liqueur than Kahlua. With FW Amaretto being the closest to Disaronno Amaretto with WF Amaretto in a close second.

Strawberry (FLAVRZ) 8% (5-28-23) – “More Cowbell”, errrrr, “More Strawberry”. I got into this one RIGHT as we were opening the pool up, so I had some good one on one time with it. What I liked most about this one, was the complete, and utter ONRUSH of Strawberry. Juicy, Red, and Look Out !!! It presented as a 50/50 mix of natural / artificial, but didn’t really lean one way or another. The majority of the flavor seemed centered around a juicy red SB, with some green/white (Alpine) notes sprinkled on the top. With the inclusion of the latter, it really was a full spectrum SB. It did taste fairly fresh, and with good juicy-ness too boot. At 8% it was very red, and full, and nothing tasted out of place. The only complaint was, there was a little “translation” issue, wherein it tasted just a bit fuller on the finger, than it did vaping. It wasn’t muted, but it tasted constrained a bit, and I couldn’t figure out why. It was probably more obvious, because of the massive onrush in the beginning, that the finish felt a little lack luster. Sweetness was about mid-level, and there was a certain “tart” that hit you on the finish that was a nice send off. All in, a good wide spectrum 50/50 natural/artificial SB, that was fresh, and juicy with a nice little tart sparkle on the finish. As mentioned, the only take-off would be for the somewhat lack luster finish. It felt freshly placed at 7.5/10. If I get some time (LOL), and can play around with this more I WILL update this review.

Thanks for this! I had a look but can’t see vanilla bourbon on the site. Is it just the plain vanilla or a new flavour to be added? Portello is interesting, I was going to try plum for same effect. Also, I meant to tell you before the rum tobacco oneshot has the description for cheesecake in the site as I was looking at the oneshot. Might need to get that description updated.
