Sigh. Same song plays every time…
“You are missing ingredients”, a slow sad dirge that always brings me down!

How goes the test on the whipped cream/peanut recipe?

Pretty good! Peanut butter is there but not super strong. The creams seem to have a good balance although obviously its gonna need a steep for them to really do their thing. I only tested my v1 so far, and I’m not getting any coconut like I was with the finger test.

I’m trying the v2 with purilum ny cheesecake right now. I know its too fresh to really know, but I think this is going to be closer than using ccgc. It seems a little softer and there’s just a touch more tang that mimics the cream cheese aspect better than the ccgc does.

1 week update: the purilum chessecake version is still winning. It tastes fluffier like I’m imagining the pie would be. The tpa cheesecake combined with the graham cracker is tasting too crust heavy. I think I’d drop the graham cracker completely from that version.

How do you feel about the peanut butter though? Barely there or just right?

I think the pb is at a good level. Not crazy strong, but enough to definitely taste it.
