Okay hold on. I’m so pissed right now. So my guar 21 is stuck on The first firmware, there’s no Bluetooth capabilities, there’s no way to update the firmware, there’s no way to download the app, there’s no way to sign up for the app even if I did download it.
I’m so pissed right now. Why didn’t vandy vape support their own product? You have to be kidding me. Part of the reason I was so excited about this was the Bluetooth and app. Wtf.
Oh well I guess.

I suppose so. I wish I would have known though. I actually googled “vandy vape guar 21 issues.” Before I bought it and didn’t see anything about the app. This is now the third vape mod that’s brought me some type of disappointment. 
why would you want a mod to be bluetooth capable in the first place?

I was excited to try out the power curve setting. It can be used* without the app, but it doesn’t work on the mod without the firmware update. The find device feature would have been interesting too.
It’s really the fact that overall, added functionalities have just been bricked.
How do I update my vape firmware?
When you plug the device into your pc the mod screen requests you to select charge or update mode. The options are only available about five seconds. With the update software running plug the device into your pc, select update and the device should appear in the top right hand corner of the update software.Nov 29, 2017
Thank you, rcleven. There is no firmware update or software available for guar 21 though. Looks like vandy vape removed it from their website.

True, but there is no such software to download and run on the computer. They totally removed all the update software from their website, the only one they have up is for the vandy pulse mod. I can’t even find the update second hand from another website.
I just really don’t understand why they would remove all the updates for all of their mods. I emailed them yesterday asking where the firmware update is, haven’t heard back though. It doesn’t make sense to me why you would cut support of your product after just a few years. It’s really frustrating.

Okay… I found the answer. They just completely removed those functionalities, yet still advertise them.

I know they had a chip shortage back in 2021 and removed bluetooth and the other weird functions when I got my first gaur 21…
After that I just ordered non-bluetooth version

LOL they wouldn’t have that problem if they would just go back to making good old fashioned mechs. You know the non- Bluetooth versions.
