All my mods have some scratches on the bottom! ![]()
I needed a reliable cheaper mod to replace an old “voopoo drag 3” which is about 6 years old and completely battered but still firing. Just ordered the “L5” after reading your review, so thank you (should get it tomorrow) Already nave the “L2” so I know that there built really well. Hopefully it will last as long as the “voopoo”.
Wow @Dj35 that’s a pretty long life for that Drag 3. Since you have the L2, let me know what your thoughts are in comparison to it.
I have the L2 and I got my wife the L5. I prefer the L2 personally. It’s a little slimmer and lighter. They both take 18650 batteries which I like because I have a ton of them from cannibalized defunct power tool batteries. They function essentially the same but I know how to use the deep features on mine and I’m completely lost on the L5 menu. Not a deal breaker, I’m just not used to it. The L2 has all the features I could ever need without complicating the menu. I too don’t like lots of bling, I prefer elegant simplicity.
Looks real nice and quite tempting. Sorry I late for the party. Gonna give this one a lot of thought. I have a couple of copies of the original but as you noted they are bulky. Thanks for doing what you do!
Better late than never @SmilingOgre. In other words …

Thank you very much Walt, I appreciate that, and it always means a lot.
You are very welcome! Have been thinking lately of my first couple of mods. They tasted sooooo good after smoking. Was really thrilled with the clouds they would throw. Still am very happy to be vaping but the initial thrill has worn off. Getting to be a bit akin to smoking as it is a habit but a much better habit for sure. Keep up the good work. I don’t trust the “Tubers” any more and that goes for any product. I do trust your reviews and look no further.
I now have 3 of them. They are not bad ,hit nice and they are light.
Late spotting this also. But as always the review is top-shelf my friend! The pics with different tanks, especially the evil looking dripper, is a nice touch as well!
I love the MOD and all the features but I can’t find where the temperature Control settings sub menu is where I can enter the wire material coefficient settings are. If anyone knows how to do this please share, I am always in TC mode but don’t know what wire it has for default. I make all my coils with ni200. Please help.
I don’t have this mod, but can you describe your coil and what it ohms out to. Being the very first material used for TC, it fell out of favor and I highly doubt Geekvape would use it as their default.
Press fire button 3 times quickly to access menu
Use left/right buttons to select mode and press fire button once to select.
Left/right buttons to select TC.
Fire button once to select and TC sub menu will open.
Use left/right buttons to select the second option down with the capital T next to it. This is the TCR setting.
Press fire button once to select it.
Use left/right buttons to change it to 0.00600-0.00620.
Press fire once.
Left/right buttons to select ok, fire button to select.
Sounds more complicated than it is.
I use the legend 5 for ss316L and it works well so should be ok for most other wires.
By rights if it does SS316 well it should be a cake walk with Ni200 being the most reactive material out there.
