I REALLY hope this isn’t part of the run where people had the tops breaking off. I think my older one is probably better quality. I think they gave production rights to a different factory.
The new one the display is darker, the “no atomizer” icon is different too. What’s up with this? I’m just hoping that the actual company didn’t just sell me a cheaper version of something I bought that was nice.
I’m seeing a couple defects in the paint of the newer one. Uuggghhhh.
Geek vape logo is much larger on the newer ones screen on startup.
I get if it’s a different model, but this is supposed to be the same exact thing. It looks like they’ve used a completely different screen in the new one. It doesn’t look as sharp and clear.
Y’know, I am a little pissed. Rightfully so. I found a picture of someone else’s geekvape bought in 2024, same cheap screen. The ones from 2023 and 2022 have the nice screen.
I also noticed the bottom contacts in the battery door are made different. For the love of God let’s just hope they used better plastic for securing that 510 connection. My old one didn’t break, it’s a brick. I’m worried about the quality of this new one after seeing what they did with the screen.
The fact the logo is much larger on startup also has me wondering if something in the guts is different. There would be no way for me to tell unless I tore both down.
I’m very curious to see what I hear back from customer service. I emailed them about the screen and sent photos. I asked if they came from a different factory as well. Left a 4 star review on their website so it would post. Hopefully they see that as well, and other people will also be made aware.
I just bought this because I was unhappy with the L300. Ffs. It’s one thing after the other. It looks nice, but will it last like my first L200?
I really like what I’m reading about it. Especially because it has a nice lock feature that seems easy enough to activate/deactivate. The only thing I would do is stick a port cover inside of the charging port. I like the Bluetooth feature that’s really neat, although I’ve never lost my vape.
How is the durability? I tend to drop my vape from my hoodie and standing height at times. I also take it everywhere. It’s gotta stand up to a lot of dirt exposure, and falling on its side a lot. I’ve never managed to actually drop my vape into water fortunately.
Have you ever had any problems with the battery door falling off? It kinda looks like it might pop off if dropped the right way. I know a lot of vape enthusiasts have multiple mods and rotate, so I feel like it’s hard to gauge something based on age vs use. Someone could have a mod for 4 years, but only have a year of use from it.
I do trust your recommendations though, because you have experience using many different mods.
I have the non- bluetooth version, and yes I have alot of mods but this one has been my daily driver for almost 4 years now, it’s indestructible. The battery door is probably the best one I have ever had, never had a problem with it.
The fire button does not even have any wear on it after a half million clicks…
WOWWWWWWWWWWW. WTF. What the hell, Canada? That just sounds like a complete excuse to ban people from vaping. I’m sure knives are banned too because they don’t have child proof safety caps? What about bonfires? A kid could walk up and fell into one. No child proof safety cap!
Joking aside, I feel for you. That’s just bullshit.
