Given the cost of fuel these days

Okay, folks, let’s talk about Chevron with Techron. Here in Cali, a gallon of fuel is just shy of $7.00. On average it’s $0.50 to $0.75 per gallon more than the average gas station for the Techron additive. That additive cleans fuel injectors to help your fuel system work at peak performance. Go to google and ask her how often your make and model car needs its injectors cleaned. Depending on the car, it averages 50,000 miles between cleanings.

Then got to Autozone and buy a bottle of Techron for $10.00 and Viola! At an average of 15,000 miles added to your odometer per year divided by an average of 35 MPG times a 12 gallon fuel tank times $0.75 per gallon = approximately $3,900 per YEAR. Times 3.4 years to reach 50,000 miles when the auto MFG says the injectors should be cleaned, that’s a savings of $13,100. You CAN go to an oil change shop and they’ll do it for some big $$$'s, but I’m frugal. $10.00 is plenty. And simple.

Now let’s talk about premium gas! Check your manual to see if your car requires it. Most do not. Ask and I’ll go into the physics, but suffice to say, if your vehicle doesn’t require it, your killing your mileage, and shortening the life of your engine. AND, wasting more money.

Dang, can you imagine Chevron premium gas?

Here at my place the regular fuel is 189.4 by liter, and the premium 217.9!!
I drive a Japanese car, so I use the premium fuel.

Corn ethanol is a renewable liquid fuel produced by fermenting and distilling corn starch.

I figured if we mixed the uniCORN around in this it might work.

Man, I had a roommate back in the early 2000s that modified an old Mercedes diesel to run off cooking oil. He had 3 or 4 restaurants supplying him because they could give it to him for free instead of paying for disposal. He had more free fuel than he could use. We all thought he was crazy until gas hit $5…

We drive a Buick Encore. Designed in 'Merica and made in Korea. No disrespect, but it’s worth making sure it requires premium fuel. Only a few Toyota’s here need it. Mostly the Lexus line.

I wonder if that would gum up the works.

Uh, oh! 189.34 what? If that’s Euro, I’m airing up the tires on my bicycle! That’s $217.00 according to google. Oh, wait. My bike is hung from the rafters in my garage. The ropes are too frayed to get it down.

I sure hope that’s rands!

This is how they write it on the tank, It’s more like 1.89.4 $

Ah, I see. Here it’s more like $6.89.99/ gallon. Seriously? 1/10th of a penny? People here know it’s $6.90. You finish fueling, it never shows a 10th of a penny of anything. Our cars tank is 12 gallons times what, 4.3 liters?

EVERYTHING here is $0.99. Buy a jock strap, $12.99. Condoms, $8.99 depending on the size. Mine cost $600,298.99. “They” think we’ll see that as $8.00, not $9.00.

What’s worse to you. Being treated like someone THINKS your stupid, or someone hopes your stupid? EVERYONE thinks a person in stupid, but I hate it when someone hopes I’m stupid.

I heard prices are going down and the POTUS is saying Chevron and Exxon are making too much money. Too much money. I’ll say it again, too much money.

Just be careful, switching the grade of gas can do some serious harm to your engine. Most of the gas sold is so watered down though.

Yeah, I was told by a mechanic to do it a little at a time. 10 gallon tank, do 8 at premium for a couple tanks and 2 at mid-grade, and so forth.

When I was a teen I started wrenching on my dads dragsters. After they did away with leaded gas, and came out with bottles of octane, every youngster was bragging how it made their Oldsmobile Delta 88 go faster. My brother and I gave up trying to explain it was more likely slowing them down.

But hey, ask a teenager now, while they still know everything,
