The A4 and A2 are both capable of charging standard li-ion batteries as well as LiFePO4, Ni-MH, and Ni-Cd. The A4 has a selectable charge rate of up to 3A on the outer two slots, meaning it can charge 4 batteries at 2A simultaneously or two batteries at 3A and any mixture in between as long as the system total does not exceed 8A. The A2 is capable of charging at 3A in one slot with a system total of 4A.
