Yeah, the old strips will work, it comes with the new strips to try, they are wider than the old strips. Overall an improvement, has a stiffer spring under the ceramic block. I would not rush out and replace all my original Profileās with the new one but the new one is slightly better, much better at ease of wicking due to the stiffer spring.
You can just replace the spring on your original with a stiffer spring. The new 1.5 is a little better but not Wow better so far. Review in the works but not until after the Holidays.

The one I can think of now is the stronger spring, makes it easier to wick correctly for those that were not using enough wick. Also the ceramic block is a little improved and it takes a slighter larger mesh. Not huge differences but when building the new 1.5, the original Profile and the Vandy Vape Mesh V2 RDAās to compare it really does make a difference. Using the exact same wick strip the new 1.5 just made better contact with the mesh all around which makes a difference in performance.
I donāt know but I figure they called it the 1.5 and not the V2 as it is more of a refining of the original and not a big redesign.
Yes, according to the couple videos Iāve watched in anticipation of receiving it,which I havenāt yet. āTheyā say the guard affects the flavor but I donāt see why. I saw that girl reviewer that has features of a Disney Princess (pretty hair and doe eyes andā¦ Well you know), and she āconnedā the spit guard.
