Same here @jinx_d. I’ve picked up 3 HP Pro’s all refurbed on Amazon, and have not had ANY fail. 2 live outside ALL year round in company vehicle, and the third lives on my drum rack, and I do all my Presonus recording over it. Zero fails. The first was the recording laptop, which needed a SPECIFIC firewire chipset for my Presonus board, and it worked soo good, picked up the two other ones.

I didn’t even know that was a thing. My youngest just broke his laptop (frustration with home schooling and older brother drives him crazy) and he has to pay for it from his allowance. Sweet!

Never had a problem with factory refurbished products. IMO, they’re better than new as the flaws have been addressed and repaired. Seller refurbs are iffy. Never had a problem but I’ve only bought two. The definition of “refurbished” is too wide. You can clean and polish the outside of it and call it a refurb.
