I believe it was the new regulation imposed to vaping products and import fees from
China. They couldn’t afford to keep doing business the old way and I think I read their tax increased to almost 40%. As much crap as we talked about Fasttech, we sure relied on them. I know I did.
I think they finally closed up shop around December of last year, but they had been selling only stock on hand for months prior to that.
@Dan_the_Man despite not everyone always following the “rules” over in China, apparently it was the lack of a “bonded warehouse” I think.
Anyway sadly the site is no more. An announcement in the forum pages on December 5th 2022 stated that new tax regulations were causing huge issues for the company and they had investigated ways around this. Unfortunately these hurdles appeared to be too large to overcome and the site has closed.Jan 1, 2023

Bye Bye Fasttech… - Ecigclick
Not a good deal for vaping or DIY liquid, but I saw a DeWalt cordless on Amazon the other day for $99. It comes with a zipper case/bag, two batteries, and a charger. I thought maybe it was old stock, with dated batteries. I got mine in the mail and the packs are stamped 2023 . Nice score for a decent cordless drill IMO.
I’ll be using it for around the house, but also try it out spinning wires .
I should add that I haven’t been following how much those regularly go for. I just thought it was good deal considering the brand and what’s included.
Well first of all shame on you for talking drills on ELR, and second, holy crap! Those batteries are 60 bucks each at the depot. There’s guys that have the drill with no battery and its basically garbage cuz of the batteries.
I’m currently rocking two “Warrior” drills from Harbor Freight, and they work fine but you cant drop them off the top of a ladder and pick it up and use it.
Thanks for the tip, Now behave.
I bought that damn thing
Nice! Love Dewalt tools. During the lockdown, I picked up quite a few Ryobi 18v tools. There was a sale that was too good to pass up. Two tools, two carry bags and charger and battery 175.00 for the lot. Picked up a drill and circular saw. Later they had a two-fer battery sale and picked up four of those. 2020-21 was a great year for tool shopping.
Okay, I’m done lol. I think you’re gonna love it. I took one of the battery pack thingies apart and saw it 5x 18650 batteries in there. If they start losing charge or getting weak, you can stick better cells inside. I saw a video about it and think I can do it with the right tools. There’s a solder or mini weld thing that makes connecting the batteries easy. I might get one down the road but the stock cells are doing great for now .
My previous cordless drill is from Harbor freight as well. It was only like $25 but there’s no real way to get extra batteries for it. It’s been fine but I’ve always intended on getting an upgrade.
I have lots of corded drills that I got for wire spinning. My first was a cheap Hyper Tough from Walmart ($18). Later I got a Craftsman, Rigid, Bosch, and Black Decker. It’s funny because I still prefer my cheapo Walmart drill for spinning. I think they changed the Hyper Tough drills but luckily I bought replacements right away of the older style.
i bought 4 in the initial offering. even at the higher price i am definetly not disapointed.
My aunt has a cordless Ryobi weed wacker/ lawn trimmer. I used it a while back and was really impressed. I thought it’d bog down or die out somewhat quickly, but it just kept on going. I did the edges for the whole yard (Which is pretty big), and it held up fine.
Ugh, don’t need another drill but damn that is a deal…your enabling skills have no boundaries my friend…lol
Lookit that. An enabler enabling another enabler
So far, I’ve been impressed with the Ryobi line. Don’t know how well they would stand up in everyday construction work, but around the house and weekend projects, they’re awesome.
Damn…in for one. Great deal!
just saw this on Instagram from Trinity Glass Hardware.
i just made an order a couple of weeks ago and am broken hearted to see them go.orders over $30 get a free item.
Soon the site will be unable to process orders, after that it’s over folks.
Get what you need now.
I think we’ll ponder deciphering your post first . Admittedly, that would entail a rather small group when Instagram is the first point raised.
It’s like suggesting skin cream which is only available through Human Centipede 2: Sandpaper just adds to the moment.
